Introduction (problem and its background) The term technology comes from the Greek word “techne”, which means the art or skill used in order to solve a problem, improve a pre-existing solution to a problem, achieve a goal, handle an applied input/ output relation or perform a specific function; technology is the making, modification, usage and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques and method of organization (Liddel, Scott, Jones & McKenzie, 1940). Advancement of the technology is crucial for today’s time while the world is becoming digital. In almost everything, gadgets which are the very widespread form of contraption have been a boon to everyone. As continuously as smart phones, laptops, and tablets are upgrading, people are multitasking in using all of these to make work easier. It is very popular in the 21st century. In this research The reason for this experiment is because the youth today is misusing the gadgets. They use it only for non-sensible things. The young generation is forgetting the main purpose why it is even invented. Gadgets are built to achieve the impossible and explore places that can’t be reconnoitered by man alone. Body But, even though it helps us in many ways there are also many ways that can give us a negative effect. Gadgets affect us in many ways, but the main thing that is affected while we are using our gadget is our eyesight. Almost _% of the people today have poor eyesight. But that’s only one of many effects that you can get while using technology. There are so many technologies and each have their own way to affect us. 1. Laptops: An average working male or female use laptops in their daily lives, it used to do their work easier. Here are some ill effects of laptop on your health: Holding laptops in our skin or lap is not good. The heat can cause irritation to our skin and in rare cases can lead to skin cancer. It is called, “toasted skin syndrome”. Like any other gadget, laptop also causes poor eye sight due to the radiation it is emitting. The easiest way of preventing effect on laptop on health is to keep it on desk and use. Avoid keeping it on abdomen. It also cause muscular and back pain. It is caused due to improper posture, it causes back and neck pain. To avoid this, you must do back and neck exercises to prevent this from happening. Effects of laptop is seen on reproductive activity of men. A study publishe in 2004 in state university of new york shows that keeping laptops on lapand near abdomen can affect sperm production. 2. Headphones
Use of headphone while listening to music can affect your hearing ability. Experts suggest the effect of headphones can be cause in as less time as 15 minutes of use. 3. Mobile Phones: Every individual is using mobile phones because it is part of our daily life. The main problem with this is heat effect. It can cause headache, lack of sleep, stress etc. Besides this effect of gadgets on health obesity is the main concern. Sitting job or activity is increasing number of obese people in the world.
