INTRODUCTION The purpose of this document is to instruct the reader on the process to Lock and UN LOCK board.
Dependencies and Condition s:
1) Access to Ericsson OSS is required 2) Access to Alex is required 3) Work can be conducted outside of the Maintenance Window but read CAUTION!
CAUTION: Locking a Digital Unit (DU) or a Radio Unit (RU) stops all traffic on the unit. This can cause reduced capacity, and in cases of a single DU configuration, can cause a total traffic stoppage.
IMPORTANT: Job Aids are intended as a reference to assist the user in diagnosi ng and trou ble shooting alarms. They shou ld be considered as a work in progress and will need to be updated from time to time depending on network changes. Ad di ti on al Info rm ati on When a boards administrativeState is set to LOCKED, the traffic on the board ceases immediately. When the board is LOCKED, no new alarms are issued and all alarms issued earlier by the board are ceased automatically. It is possible to perform operation and maintenance on the board, provided the board is still in the subrack and is included in the current configuration. Yellow LED is constantly illuminated for PlugInUnit and AuxPlugInUnit.
