Where will WMI 2017 Final Round be held? WMI 2017 Final Round will be held on 14-18 July 2017. Cities that have submitted bid to host WMI 2017 Final Round includes Taipei, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Xiamen. The host should have been decided and announced by the end of February. How will I be eligible for WMI 2017 Final Round? There are two possible “tickets”. One is by winning an award (Gold or Silver or Bronze) in Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO) 2016 Indonesia. The other one is by qualifying from WMI 2017 Preliminary Round Indonesia. You need to be in top 30% of the participants to qualify. I am an awardee of SEAMO 2016. I already can enter WMI 2017 Final Round. Do I still need to join WMI 2017 Preliminary Round? You do not have to. But you are encouraged to. By sitting for WMI 2017 Preliminary Round, you c an get more familiar with WMI types of questions. For a reason, I know I will not be joining WMI 2017 Final Round. Should I consider to still join WMI 2017 Preliminary Round? You should since WMI Preliminary Round can be considered one full competition, with medals and certificates aw arded to the winners. How much would it cost to take part in WMI 2017 Final Round? WMI Committee tries our best to make the trip make as much m uch sense as possible financially. There will be two packages offered. The first one will be a full package , and the second one will be a competition-only package.
