Installing Profiles
Installing Profiles Before using RasterLink6, start [Profile Manager] to install the profiles.
What is the profiles? The predefineded input image colors or the print colors are called as the profile. There are two kinds of profiles, Input profile and the Device profile. Input profile ...........This profile is used for RIP to get the color information of an image. Device profile ........This profile is used for color reproduction that maximizes the printer ability based on the color information of the input profile. There are many profiles of this type for respective print conditions such as data media used and print resolution. In addition to the color information, the printing environment-related information such as the heater temperature is also contained.
Profile Manager Profile Manager is a tool to be used to install or uninstall a profile. In order to start RasterLink6, you are required to install at least one profile of each of the following types: Device profile of the model to be used Input RGB profile Input CMYKprofile

[Tool] - [Color Collection] Color Collection and Color replacement For the traditional RasterLink, we defined color replacement information in the [Color replace set] and connected one [Color replace set] with the job. Therefore, it was necessary to define all color replacement information for one [Color replace set]. For RasterLink6, [Color replace set] is renewed as [Color Collection] and multiple color collections (color replace set) can be applied to one job in parallel. The flow from definition of color replacement information to print is as below: Register Color replacement information in the Color Collection. You can register multiple color collections. You can specify multiple color collections to be applied to the job. Also, you can register from the special color chart ( P.47).
Read the file. Search the color collection at reading the file, color replacement is set automatically.
