Warm Up
Greeting students. Set up the scene and lead in to the main topic. Prereading Stage Motivation activity Students answer the following questions 1. Where were you born? 2. Who took care of you? 3. Did you have to work? 4. Did play with your friend? 5. What games did you play? 6. Do you remember your first day at school? Preteaching of Vocabulary Domestic violence, child labourers, Juvenile Juvenile delinquent, shelter shelter Focus Activity T: invites students to look at the title and the pictures and guess the topic and content of the text. T: writes students guesses on the board. While Reading Stage First Reading Students read the text and check their guesses. Second Reading Read the text and find why the association is called BAYTI? Third Reading Students work in pairs and try to find the main idea in each paragraph. 1. There are thousands of children who live most of their time in streets. 2. BAYTI has worked with these children of fering them help, education and shelter. 3. More than 4970 children have benefited from the association’s v arious workshops and/or services. Fourth Reading Students answer the questions( exercise 2 page 24 ) Answers: 1. Children in difficult circumstances: street children, child laboureres, abondoned children, juvenile delinquents. 2.
