Music of the Extended Mind
Consciousness: the ability to feel something, anything-- whether it's the sensation of a blue sky and brilliant sunset, a troublesome tooth ache, being sad, or worrying about the deadline for something due in two weeks. Neuroscientists assume that neural neural processes of which we are are generally unaware, such as, non-conscious processes, create conscious awareness as a reflection of physical reality, reality, so if we wish wish to understand how events events unfold in the physical physical world, we would do well to attempt to get some hints about how these events are influenced by non-conscious processes. Non-conscious processing processing would be any neural processing of which we are not not aware. Because we are not aware of non-conscious processing and therefore have little intuitive understanding of it, our intuitions that are based on our conscious waking eperiences will not necessarily apply to this non-conscious functioning of brain activity. activity. !any events occur in the physical world and most are outside the awareness of our individual consciousness. "ur non-conscious processing seems to access information about more events and conditions than normal conscious awareness. "ur non-conscious processing often appears to have better access to physical reality than conscious awareness. "ur conscious awareness somehow is provided information about events in a way that creates the appearance of a #past$ that we remember somewhat ha%ily and a #future$ that we do not remember at all. &ith that all said, would like to propose a possible direction for tool technologies to eplore for the continuing advancement of human consciousness beyond the present wide-spread utili%ation utili%ation of the (smart phone) uses. &e &e are not not going to be satisfied for very long with the present technology of teting and social networks, there will be a reaching for new and better ideas to connect this planetary human collective consciousness and to stretch the discoveries of our greater selves. *irst, an overview of some recently r ecently made-known findings regarding the human brain and its vibrational vibrational structure as it relates to collective collective consciousness. consciousness.
would like to start with the brain-wave fre+uencies fr e+uencies which you may already have an understanding. cience has had the ability to detect and measure electromagnetic fre+uency signals from within the human brain since the early /0)s with with the introduction of the medical 112. 3he very first waves detected were known as (4lpha) waves, waves, from greatest amplitude, these were recorded r ecorded as within the 5 to 6 7%. range in fre+uency. Brain-waves detection gained more research activity during the 60)s period of biofeedback interest. 3oday)s electromagnetic sensing technology has carried us well beyond those early methods. &hen our brain wave rhythms are measured electromagnetically, electromagnetically, they are found to occur prominently within what is termed the 18* 9etremely low fr e+uency spectrum and lower. 3his brainwave spectrum is also divided into band segments, called the 4lpha 4lpha 9greatest amplitude 9; to < 7%., Beta 9< to =5 7%., 3heta 9/.> to ; 7%., ?elta 9.;> to /.> 7%., @eta 9 to .;> 7%., and the 2amma 9=5 7%. to 00 7%. and higher, ranging from over 00 cycles per second 97ert% and down below cps 97%.. 3he measurable presence of these different fre+uencies seems to indicate changes in individual consciousness. 4n eample might be that a relaed, attentive state develops strong 4lpha 4lpha wave rhythmsA these are also in the prominent 1arth resonant fre+uency ranges. 3he 3heta rhythms are found to occur during the dream periods, and while eperiencing eperiencing a spontaneous spontaneous creative, intuitive state. f we consider that the (4lpha) brainwave spectrum which includes the commonly understood (chumann esonance) seems seems to have its fundamental fre+uency associated with and determined by the physical structure of the circumference of the 1arth. 3he earth circumference being about <0,000 m. therefore considering the speed of light 9C, would be a calculated fre+uency of ;.> 7%. 3his has been found to be measured at around ;.57%. 7owever, as one who has watched over a many year period with 18* test spectrum analy%ers can tell you that 1arth being an alive-system allows a continual shift up and down that spectrum from the ;.> to 5.= 7% for its chumann esonance. 4lthough it is related to the circumference of earth, it being a comple system of earthDatmosphere and ionosphere is continually changing. t is well recogni%ed that as we enter a relaed and meditation mode, our brainwaves reveal a highly highly (alpha wave) condition. n addition, addition, 112 brainwave detection will reveal the (chumann esonances) imbedded within its received spectrum of brain-waves signals.
omething which has not been widely recogni%ed to date is that if one also calculates the circumference fre+uencies of the (inner) Ea Ean 4llen belt, it will be found that its spectrum range is from fr om <.=> to 6 7%. which you will recogni%e r ecogni%e from the above as the (3heta) brainwave brainwave region. 3he 3heta brainwaves have long been associated with human creativity, dream states such as 1! and lucid dreaming, meditation, and peak eperiences. n addition, if one calculates the circumference fre+uencies of the (outer) Ea Ean 4llen belt, it will be found found that its spectrum range is from .5 to =./ 7%. which which you will recogni%e as the (?elta) ( ?elta) brainwave region. 3he ?elta brainwaves have been associated with a (deep) revitali%ing sleep period, or Non-1! dream state, intuition, curiosity, hunches and slow-wave sleep. 4ll life on earth has developed within these earthly (chumann esonances) as as well as the (nner and "uter Ean 4llen) donut shaped energy toroid comple energy fields. &hen one calculates additional fre+uency relationships of the Ea Ean 4llen)s such such as the radius wavelengths from the 1arth center or its surface it may be easily seen that again again the other higher brain-wave brain-wave fre+uency spectrums appear appear in number as fundamental natural fre+uencies. t may now be becoming clear that our brainDbody structure is intimately coupled to the (natural music) of the planet rhythms. r hythms. 3o 3o summari%e the above information, each and every day our individual consciousness cycles through the resonances with these fundamental aspects of the earth)s structure as we shift our daily activities from physical, to rest and sleep. Brainwave entrainment: t has been known since obert Beck)s brain research in the ;0s that the human brain can be entrained to specific fre+uencies by eternal signal activity. 7e 7e was able to construct and operate small locally transmitting electromagnetic signal generators which influenced nearby brain activity which the brainwaves entrained too too by the eternally controlled controlled energy energy field. *rom Beck)s monitoring of the brain fre+uencies, he could begin to compare the signal spectrum with changes in consciousness of the participating subFects and observe uni+ue abilities or effects at specific fre+uencies. 3his author had the opportunity to construct and utili%e 18* 9etremely low fre+uency sensing e+uipment during the 50s while observing electromagnetic activity of a number of countries around the planet as they transmitted worldwide high-powered signals within the brainwaves spectrums. t appears that these countries were eperimenting with the influencing of local or worldwide
populations by brainwave brainwave manipulations. manipulations. !uch of this type of transmitting transmitting is still ongoing. 4nother type of brainwave research that came out of the 50s was from the !onroe nstitute founded by obert !onroe. n his work on "B1 9out of body eperience, he found that by entraining the brain by the uses of sound he could entice an added influence for the "B1. 7is method was to utili%e stereo headphones with separate fre+uencies for each ear by taking advantage of a commonly known aspect of combining two fre+uencies. &hen two fre+uencies are mied together, not only are those fre+uencies heard but the brain also detectsDrecreates the sum and difference fre+uencies as well. f for eample, the left channel was to have a fre+uency of 00 7%. and the right channel has 06 7%., then the brain would also create the difference fre+uency of 6 7%., which you now might recogni%e as within the 3heta brainwave spectrum. !onroe)s successful successful methods became known as #7emi-ync$ and had the opportunity to eam one of his devices and the associated recordings with a spectrum analy%er. *rom this method you can easily see that all of the brainwave spectrums can be stimulated +uite easily by using sound sources as well as electromagnetics. !usic from many varied sources, types and rhythms has always been recogni%ed as a means means of altering consciousness consciousness from far back into ancient human history. By now you might be wondering where all of this information might be leading as to usable technologies, future tools, or Fust new ways of playing games in the discoveries of consciousness. will propose a few possibilities. 8et us suppose that there is a small start-up company whose engineering department has been given an assignment to solve a particular problem within the design of their product. Now, they they could all sit around a table and discuss the possibilities, then maybe maybe return to their individual individual cubicles, go separate directions after a day of work, watch evening television and fall asleep, and try to meet together again the net net day for more problem solving solving around that table. table. nstead of the above scenario, on that first day around ar ound the table when they received that engineering task, they all collectively programmed an app into their smart-phones for a very specific fre+uency fr e+uency of (theta) tone, placed their headphones on their ears or installed a simple band around their head, then went about the rest of the day)s activities while being connected in consciousness for design solutions. 3hen maybe they would come together later for further discussions and planning.
8et us suggest that there is a large international corporation with employees in many countries around the world, the business development workers wish to have common goals and techni+ues to further the success of the company)s business business plans. 3hey decide decide on a particular international international time-period to meet meet via a mind-link to share eperiences while at the same time communicating internationally through teleconference. 3he corporation knows that each individual within the conference may be mind-linked instantaneously through the surrounding surr ounding earth energy field by the selection of common app tuned creative intuitive fre+uencies. Now, where else might creative intuitive intuitive mind-link be be very usefulG Computer gaming, field sports, HN meetings, political conferences, music concerts, emergency eercises, hospital operations, fire departments, or anywhere for creative inspiration and beingDworking together. !aybe the time has arrived for all of us humans here on planet 1arth to become linked creatively for the betterment of all. 3o some etent, we are all researcher into the mysteries of consciousness and by utili%ing some of these new tools of brainDbody eploration we might discover whole new untapped realms of planetary consciousness awaiting. &e all share now these vast regions of surrounding energy fields. &hat information might they contain, the ancients and indigenous have long spoken of the knowledge and history contained within the mysterious 4kashi 4kashi fields. &hen consider the vast 2igabytes of data contained within my small memory chip held here in my hand, what might be the vast data contained within the 1arth)s vast surrounding atmospheric and energy fields. Check it outII
