How to do Mail Merge in lotus Notes 8.5.2 with Notes symphony
Pre Requisite: Requisite: 1. Lotus Notes client client 8.X 2. Lotus symphony 3. Local copy of mail db 4. Local Address book should contain required r equired Address of MRF Directory and other required mail address
Preparing Local Address Book: Open the Local Address book from Workspace
Browse for contact from MRF Directory
Add Mail ids from the list
Open Lotus symphony Document
Click - Tools>Mail Merge
Select the local address book by Browse
Insert the required fields from the menu “Insert Fields” After each selection of field press Insert button found below
Check the composed mail through preview option available under “Finish Merge” option
Close Preview
The Document can be saved using “save” option under Finish Merge
You can save all incident as one or different files
Save always as Doc file only. Note: do not save as odt file because recipient system might not have the Symphony or open office
The Document can be mail using “send E-mail” option under Finish Merge
File the required fields such as “Business E Mail” “Subject of E Mail” , Select document type only as pdf, also provide file name.
Press ok for send the mail
You can check Your mail id for the mail if you have selected your mail address or put yourself in CC
