Abstract This document is a lazy integration procedure for recruit of LTE. As the LTE is been rolling out around the world, it is good to know how to integrate an eNodeB at the initial stage. There are different ways to do the integration. The most popular way for LTE is integrate the eNodeB with OSS-RC automatically. But it is only available when the OSS-RC is ready and the eNodeBs can be connected by the OSS-RC. However, at the early stage of the project, these are critical to have and the traditional method is always applicable, integrate the Node with local connection. The document gives the instruction of integrating an eNodeB with integrate RBS tool for MIMO cell. The scripts templates are also attached as references. This example didn’t gave the License key file and Upgrade package. Since the MO structure is maybe different from software versions. As verified, this procedure is applicable for the basic CV, R20HN and CXP102083%10_R5EH. For the others, no verification processed.

Connect EnodeB with Moshell Connect the DUL with Ethernet cable on port LMT B. Shut down all your firewalls and configure your laptop ip address to 169.254.1.11, netmask 255.255.255.248 and default getway 169.254.1.10. Moshell on the eNodeB with IP address 169.254.1.10. Use command cvls to check the CV for EnodeB. If there is basic CV available, then skip Copy Basic CV path.

Setting Up a Serial Connection A serial cable and a serial/RJ-45 adapter are required to connect to the DUL. 1. Connect the serial adapter to the communications port (COM1) of the client. 2. Connect the serial cable to the serial adapter. 3. If applicable, remove any serial cables connected to the DUL. 4. Connect the serial cable to the serial port of the DUL. The connection is used for serial communication through a terminal program. In this procedure the Windows program HyperTerminal is used.
3.2.1.1
Configuring HyperTerminal This section describes the recommended procedure for configuring HyperTerminal for serial communication with the RBS. 1. Click Start in Windows and select Programs, Accessories, and Communications. Click the HyperTerminal icon. 2. From the File menu, choose New Connection. 3. Type a name for the new connection in the Name text box. For example: RS232 4.

Downloading a Basic CV from a Client to a DUL This section describes how to download basic CV software to the DUL through FTP. The instructions are valid for most FTP clients. Note: Use binary transfer mode in the FTP client for all file transfers. 1. Start the FTP client. 2. Connect to the RBS, using the IP address: 169.254.1.10 (example). 3. Enter user name rbs and the password rbs 4. Transfer the basic CV directories c2 and d from the client to the root directory of the RBS. 5. Exit the FTP client when the file transfer is complete. 6. Restart the RBS using the following command: reload
