Eclipse (All Yours) Other lives, always tempted to trade Will they hate me for all the choices I made? Will they stop when they see me again? I can’t stop now I know who I am I’m all yours, I’m not afraid You’re all mine, say what they may All your love, I’ll take to the grave All my life starts now TEAR ME DOWN, THEY CAN’T TAKE YOU OUT OF MY THOUGHTS Under every scar there’s a battle I’ve lost Will they stop when they see us again? I can’t stop now I know who I am I’m all yours, I’m not afraid You’re all mine, say what they may All your love, I’ll take to the grave All my life starts now C 2010 Chrysalis Music Ltd. Howard Shore sleeps in an ice box. While we were recording in London, he would work until 3am and sleep until mid-day to keep on New York hours.
Many thanks to David Slade for his wonderful work. Also thanks to Paul Katz for his guidance and perspective. I especially enjoyed writing with Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw of Metric. Thank you for your brilliant work. Many thanks to Stephenie Meyer for providing the seeds from which all could grow. – Howard Shore
He worked tirelessly against our deadline and as he inscribed musical notation on paper, without an instrument in sight, playing the themes in his mind, by bedtime he needed his room to be frosted to drift off into sleep. I feel tremendously honoured to have worked with Howard. His kind nature, razor-sharp intellect and fluid style (not to mention his unrivaled passion and meticulous talent) make f or the most inspiring of collaborators. In many ways, Howard is a method composer, taking on the emotions of the characters and living in their hearts. He found the longing in Edward and Bella’s love and turned it into sound. He turned Jacob’s sorrow into music and illustrated triumph note by note as good overturned evil. To Howard with my humblest thanks. DAVID SLADE MAY 2010
