RESUMEN
La práctica Medición y Cifras Significativas se llevó a cabo con el objetivo de hacer un uso correcto de instrumentos de medición, entender la diferencia entre precisión y exactitud, hacer uso correcto de cifras significativas. A partir de una probeta de borosilicato 25ml y una moneda de cinco centavos (hierro + cromo) se determinó el volumen tanto de la probeta como la de la moneda haciendo uso del principio de Arquímedes y un instrumento de medición (vernier), además de encontrar la densidad de la moneda de cinco centavos utilizando los volúmenes obtenidos con los métodos antes descritos. Para ello se midió el diámetro interno y altura de la probeta usando un vernier, de la misma forma con la la moneda de cinco centavos.

METODOLOGIA EXPERIMENTAL
1. Se midió la altura de la probeta con el vernier en milímetros con la superficie para medicines externas.
2. Se midió el diámetro interno de la probeta en milímetros con la superficie para medicines internas.
3. Se realizó el procedimiento tres veces más efectuado una repetición poca cada integrante dela mesa.
4. Se midió el diámetro y grosor de cada moneda de cinco centavos con el vernier y se anotaron las medidas.
5. Se agregaron 10 ml de agua de grifo a una probeta de 25 ml.
6. Se agregaron las cuatro monedas de cinco centavos a la probeta con agua, colocando las monedas una a una.
7. Se midió el agua de la probeta después de colocar las cuatros monedas.
8. Se realizó el procedimiento tres veces más efectuando una repetición por cada integrante de la mesa.
9. Se retiró cada moneda y se midió la masa de la misma, cada medida se contó como una repetición.

1. Determinación del volumen de una probeta de 25 ml de forma experimental.

Esta ecuación se utilizó para determinar el volumen de la probeta para las otras corridas y el volumen de las monedas de cinco centavos utilizando utilizando un instrumento de medición (vernier) y con datos teóricos, datos proporcionados por el banco de Guatemala para cada una de las corridas.
