Rationale
As we all know that our today's generation mainly revolves around technologies, technologies that came even through our hands. If we recalled when the time the portable devices such as smart phones rose to our society, it can't be helped to become part of our daily lives. To extent the entertainment, communications, and social networks, we make this project to make more improvements for our portable devices to prolong the bond of the user within the gadgets.
Background of the Study
A solar charger employs solar energy to supply electricity to device or charge batteries. Generally, this solar charger are portable, to supply power to devices wherever there's a sunlight. Depending on its solar panel it can produce voltage and can produce hundreds of ampere-hours capacity, enough to charge our devices. Solar charger charges lead acid (Ni-Cd), some of solar panels installed in a stationary location such as rooftops or grounds. But basically the solar charger generally can place anywhere, and can be connected to a self-built battery bank to store energy for off-peak usage. It can also be used as energy conservation device.
Objectives
Making a eco-friendly partner for our portable devices, conscious regarding the safety of the environment through the way of utilizing solar energy. And made world of devices easy and hassle free.
Problem
This research deals with the comparison of the efficiencies of solar power bank charger to regular power bank and to on-plug chargers. Specifically, the study should answer the question if a solar power bank charger is more efficient to the regular power bank and to on-plug chargers. And how its suits to our gadgets.
Project Scope & Limitation
This study mainly focuses on how the solar power bank charger efficient on every gadget users conclude that there are regular power banks and on-plug chargers. This study also involves the combination of solar energy and electricity as the main power source, also the energy storage and the energy itself as the output source. This study would have been more comprehensive, meaningful and far-reaching if it covered more solar devices or even more gadgets such as laptops which should have provided the much detailed basis, would mean more time, money and resources.
Project Description
Solar power bank charger is a device that can charge our devices normally in a portable way. It use not only electricity but in the name itself also a solar energy to store energy to device and use it as a charging medium to our gadgets. Mainly for travelling, out-going and energy conservation purposes.
Stakeholder
This project generally targets every portable devices user to ease the pain of having trouble of losing power of their gadgets during peak circumstances. Also for those who wants to conserve energy for those who have many portable devices.
Use/Purpose/Advantages/Disadvantages
You can use this solar power bank charger mainly for portable devices as portable charging medium to store up energy on your devices almost everywhere. It serves as a portable charging medium for hassle free charging and also for energy conservation wherein you can store energy on it using solar energy. Even when you're not charging your devices you can store energy on it for later usage. Such when there is a rainy day or night-time. But if there are no more solar resources to power up your devices, you can still use our traditional wall plugs for electricity.
Solving Problems
Many of us having problem on losing power of our portable devices during peak occasions, mostly on travels. And for solving problem we conduct a research study on how to ease on that certain situation with the study of having a solar power bank charger. It's not only a normal charger that we usually plug on electricity socket ports but it uses a solar panel to gain solar energy from the sunlight. And also to store energy to power storage for further and later usage.
Security
In terms of how it affects on every portable devices commonly smart phones, such as its power can't harm the portable device itself. Setting the power output voltage and ampere in minimum compatible to every portable device to prevent damage on gadgets. And through further study rather we can make the power output convertable to specific device.
