RIWAYAT SINGKAT Dr. Nurul Taufiqu Rochman Bekerja di Pusat Penelitian Fisika-LIPI sejak tahun 1989, dan tugas belajar ke Jepang sejak tahun 1990 dengan Program Pak Habibie (STMPD II: Science and Technology Man Power Development Program). Lulus dari Kagoshima University, Jepang untuk S1, S2, S3 dalam bidang Ilmu Material dan Rekayasa Produksi. Pada tahun 2000, bekerja di Industri Jepang sebagai konsultan R & D selama 1 tahun dan Pusat Penelitian Daerah sebagai peneliti istimewa selama 3 tahun. Menjadi Advisor pada Proyek Konsorsium Daerah di Khusyu tahun 2002-2003. Telah mempublikasikan 11 Paten dan Hak Cipta (di antaranya 1 Paten Jepang yang telah di-granted dan diterapkan di Perusahaan Kyushu Tabuchi sejak 2003) dan lebih dari 60 publikasi dan pemakalah internasional dan 140 publikasi dan pemakalah nasional. Mendapat Penghargaan Hatakeyama Award sebagai mahasiswa terbaik dan Fuji Sankei Award sebagai penelti terbaik tahun 1995. Setelah pulang, pada 2004 mendapat penghargaan dari LIPI sebagai Peneliti Muda Terbaik dan Penghargaan dari Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (Adhidarma Profesi) tahun 2005 dan The Best Innovation and Idea Award dari Majalah SWA. Delegasi Indonesia untuk menghadiri pertemuan Pemenang Nobel di Lindau Jerman, 2005. Tahun 2009 memperoleh perhargaan ITSF-Science and Technology Award dari Industri Toray Indonesia sebagai Outstanding Outstanding Scientist dan Scientist dan Ganesha Widya Adiutama dari ITB pada Dies Natalis ke-50 serta menerima Habibie Award di bidang Ilmu Rekayasa 11 November 2009. Selain itu juga, Dr. Nurul mendapat penghargaan sebagai presenter terbaik di beberapa seminar. Kini menjabat sebagai ketua Masyarakat Nano Indonesia sejak 2005. 0
