ID :The actual abbreviation can be any alphanumeric text. ORIGINAL TEXT :The actual text that would have been entered entered in the command line. line. It is a mandatory field. This field contains the original Application, Function command or record ID for which the abbreviation was created.

How do you invoke an enquiry in T24? You type in ENQUIRY.SELECT followed by the enquiry name. For easy use, an abbreviation record ENQ is created with the Original Text set as ENQUIRY.SELECT. ENQUIRY.SELECT. So you can use ENQ instead of typing typing ENQUIRY.SELECT to invoke an enquiry.
