Manufacturing and testing facilities The manufacturing manufacturing setup is organized around the cellular manufacturing concept for maximum efficiency. Testing and calibration is carried out on state-of-the-artt equipment. state-of-the-ar The manufacturing manufacturing and testing of static / microprocessor based relays is carried out in an electro static discharge (ESD) protected area. Testing T esting and calibration of numerical microprocess microprocessor or based relays including wiring checks is carried out on a fully automated computerised test station.

COM 600 is a dedicated system for providing inter operability between industrial or utility substation IED's and local or higher level systems, such as a local operator interfaces or higher-level network control centers (NCC) or Distributed control systems (DCS). The COM 600 series includes three products: the control and monitoring unit COM605, the communication gateway COM610 and the station computer COM615 Each COM600 product is optimized for ABB protection and control devices and can be easily integrated with them. COM600 also facilitates for integration of third party devices. The innovative industrial design and extended communication capabilities make them ideal for harsh and demanding environment real-time process information is critical.
COM600 has an embedded design with no moving parts, so it is maintenance free.
The design is compact enough to fit in low voltage compartment of switchgear, saving both space and money.
The various communication interfaces included minimize the need for external media converters.
Electrical and optical interfaces are available in COM 600 products.
The control and monitoring unit COM 605 provides connectivity to the protection and control devices of a substation.
