Use only ammunition speciically recommended or your irearm. Never mix ammunition. Never use a cartridge not speciically designated or use in your irearm. Pressure rom the wrong type o ammunition may exceed the capability o your irearm and may damage or even rupture your irearm.

Functional Inspection: 1.

Insert the cartridge under the magazine lips, at the same time pushing down the ollower (ig. 6). Do not use excessive orce. Insert the loaded magazine until the magazine catch locks it in position (ig. 7).

4 Lo h hmb wh h s Pick up the irearm with your shooting hand and point the muzzle in a sae direction. Use your other hand to retract and release the bolt with the help o the charging handle (ig. 8). Never put your hand in ront o the muzzle. As the bolt travels orward it inserts the i rst round into the chamber. chamber. The hammer is now cocked. Leave the saety in the sae position until you are ready to ire.

5 Grasp irearm with one hand on orearm and other hand on grip with index inger resting along outside o trigger guard. Raise irearm and pull buttstock irmly into shoulder. Aim at a sae target. Push the manual saety to the ire position. Squeeze the trigger slowly and maintain the pressure until the round is ired. Your irearm loads immediately ater iring. - You may continue to ire by pulling and ully releasing the trigger until the magazine is empty - I you wish to stop, release trigger, remove inger rom triggerguard, and set saety selector to “SAFE” position. I you have ired the last round rom the magazine, the bolt will be held in the rearmost position so that the irearm can quickly be reloaded by replacing the magazine, or the chamber can be inspected to ensure it is empty (ig. 9).

I you decide not to ire ater the hammer has been cocked or i you you decide to suspend iring, keep the irearm pointed in a sae direction. Remove your inger rom within the trigger guard. Place the manual saety saety in the “SAFE” position and remove the magazine. Pull charging handle rearward to eject any remaining cartridge(s).

Make sure that the irearm is unloaded (magazine removed, chamber cleared, empty chamber indicator (blue tab) installed, and barrel clear o any obstructions)! Youu must be certain there is no cartridge in the chamber or obstructions in the barrel. Remember that any time you release the bolt Yo while a magazine containing cartridges is in the irearm, you will have reloaded the irearm and it will be capable o iring. Ater the last round has been ired, the bolt catch holds the bolt in the open position (ig. 11). Place the manual saety in the “SAFE” position.

-R Replace eplace the empty magazine with a ull one. Pull bolt rearward and release with the help o the charging handle (ig. 8), the bolt will travel orward and load the chamber with the irst round. Keep your irearm in your shooting hand, inger o the trigger and pointed in a sae direction so that there is no danger to other persons. Discontinue shooting - Remove magazine and inspect the chamber, to veriy it does not contain any ammunition (ig. 9). Close the bolt and decock hammer as described in section 6.
8 ulo Point the muzzle in a sae direction. Remove the magazine. Ensure that the chamber is empty by pulling back the charging handle to visually inspect the chamber (ig. 9). Keep irearm pointed in a sae direction. Retract the charging handle so that the bolt moves into battery. Push the manual saety to the “FIRE” position (ig. 10) and squeeze trigger to decock the irearm. The irearm may now be carried saely.

I a cartridge ails to ire, wait 30 seconds while keeping the muzzle pointed pointed in a sae direction. Keep your your inger o the trigger and out o the trigger guard. Place the manual saety saety in the “SAFE” position and remove the magazine. Grasp the bolt with the charging handle and briskly pull it ully rearward to eject the misired round. Check the barrel chamber and bore visually or any obstructions. Never look down the barrel rom the muzzle end. - You must be certain there are no cartridges in the the chamber or obstructions in the barrel. 10 Ss 10.1 S h l sh The dual aperture rear sight can be adjusted or two target ranges by lipping it oward or backward. Short Range -
The larger aperture is used or 0 - 200 yards range (0-200 meter) (ig. 12). Normal Range - The smaler aperture is used or over 200 yards (200 meters) range (ig. 13).

The lvo is adjusted using the elevation knob below the rear sight (ig. 14). Turning the knob adjusts elevation up or down. Amount o adjustment is deined by a click when the knob is turned. The w is adjusted using the windage knob on the side o the rear sight (ig. 15). Turning the knob adjusts or windage let or right. Amount o adjustment is deined by a click when the knob is turned. Note: Because this is a replica, the markings on the elevation and windage knobs are not set or .22 LR ammunition.
10.3 S o h o sh os The lvo is adjusted by pushing in the ront sight post detent near the ront sight post (ig. 16) and simultaneously turning the ront sight post in desired position.The ront sight post must be engaged in one o the 4 detents (ig 17). NOTE: Adjustment o the ront sight post is or initial zeroing o the rile. For all uture elevation adjustments use the rear sight.

On the Variants M4 Carbine and M4 OPS the buttstock can be adjusted in its length. Pushing the buttstock latch allows the buttstock to be adjusted to various lengths (ig. 18).

The bolt speed can be adjusted or dierent ammunition requirements. To reach the screw or bolt speed adjustment the gun has to be disassembled as described in Section 12 Field Stripping (ig.19). Only adjust the bolt speed i problems are encountered when iring a dierent type o ammunition. For high velocity ammunition, use the correct size Allen wrench (hex key) to increase the bolt speed by turning the screw clockwise (ig. 19). For standard ammunition, use the correct size Allen wrench (hex key) to decrease the bolt speed by turning the screw counter clockwise (ig. 19). The screwhead must not rise out o, or be removed rom the gun.
11 Mo ol sh To mount an optical sight, the carry handle can be removed by loosing the nuts on the let side o the carry handle (ig. 20). This will provide a mil-standard rail or mounting o optics.

To disassemble insert an empty magazine, pull back the bolt to its rearmost position with the charging handle. Remove the magazine or urther disassembly. Loosen the lash hider two (2) ull turns, (no more than 2). Push the rear receiver pin out o the gun to the right (ig. 21; 22). Do not use excessive orce. There are 5 alse/dummy pins (3 let side (ig. A), 2 right side (ig.B)). Do not try to tap them out. Doing so will void your warrenty.
NOTE: Further disassembly is not necessary or recommended and will void your warranty. When reassembling, hand-tighten the lash hider and then use the supplied wrench to urther tighten by only 1/4 turn.

Remove ouling rom breech, magazine lips, ollower, and receiver with a brush and a cloth. Clean the barrel with bore solvent and a brush and then dry it with cleaning patches; always begin at the chamber. Repeat until barrel is clean. Apply a thin coat o oil to all metal parts. Reassemble irearm and check or proper unction.
