Online Cambridge exam preparation course: First (FCE) ‐ part 2 This 5‐week 100% online course is intended for teachers with little or no experience in teaching students who wish to take the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam, and focuses on the Speaking and Use of English papers. It will focus on helping you teach your students the content of the exam, and ideas, techniques and approaches for teaching students successfully at this level. The course includes detailed descriptions of the examination requirements and the types of tasks included in the Speaking and Use of English papers. However, it is not just a collection of examination practice activities: it offers advice on and practical examples of approaches to developing the students’ language abilities in general. You are invited to experiment with a wide range of teaching and learning classroom material and we expect you post your reports back to your tutors and fellow course participants via our email forum at least two or three times a week.

Your tutors The course tutors are all International House Barcelona CELTA and/or DELTA course tutors with many years of teaching and teacher training experience.
Language requirements In order to follow this course you need to have a minimum of a B2 level of English (the equivalent of an Upper‐intermediate or Cambridge English: First level of English). To confirm your level, please take the level test on our website.
Length and time commitment It is notoriously difficult to predict exactly how many hours an online course will take any given student. For our courses, we believe you should estimate at least minimum 2.5 hours per module for the reading and completion of the tasks set, giving around 30 hours minimum for this particular course. This estimate excludes the amount of class time you use for experimenting with the ideas and material from the course. You should aim to complete each course module within 7 to 10 days.
Certification Candidates will be awarded a Cambridge and International House certificate at the end of the course. In order to receive the certificate, you need to make sure you complete all the tasks on the course and always feedback on the forum. Failure to do this will result in you NOT receiving the end of course certificate.
