. In the videos that f llow, we'll be workin with the new CADWorx® catalo and specifications e plorer. The way we work wi h the data files and c mponent information has change significantly in this new version. In the pa t, CADWo x used libraries com osed of text files for its compon nt informa ion.

. When e look at hat we us d before, e had three main folders. We had th Library_I, the Librar _M, and t e Library MM. These folders each contai subfolder s for the differen pressure atings, like the 150 or the 300. If I doubleclick on 150, we c n see that in these folders are t e data file that car ied all the measurem nt data fo the comp nents.

. If I double-click on of these f iles, we ca see this i where all the measurement ata was located. It's really a te t file. It had an opening and cl sing parentheses, an it had va ious column that contained the d ta. Once e got used to working with these, it was simple m tter to add to them or modify them as needed. e built our specs, using a spec ditor to work wi h parts of these data iles as ne ded, and e modifie our des riptions to suit our particular sp c. This worked well f r a numb r of years.

. The ne way is si ilar, but things are more highly rganized. The ne catalogs, which use to be the Library_I or the other library f lders, are collections of tables now. We'll ave a size table; we'll have a material ta le, and so forth. Because we're now going to be w rking with tables, we can combi e fields from th se tables i to our specs with more options; we'll have more flexibility tha we had b fore.

. With th new system, we'll be able to cr ate components with differen conditions very easil , which w s somethi g that was really q ite involved when we were working with th older version. The new ersion als contains branch table. This will add additional ontrols to how our pr ojects get odeled b our designers.

. So at fir st, our new version might take a little bit of etting use to, but t e end res lt is going to be a much improv d way of setting p our spe ifications and compo ent data. o let's tak a look at that now.

. I have t Windows Explorer opened, an I'm in the CADWorx folder. ere is the Plant folder. If I dou le-click P lant and I look, now we don't see the Li rary_I or other library folders. We do ave a spe folder, th ugh, so I' going to oubleclick th t one, and we'll take look at it contents.

. What w have no are some sample ca alogs. W see a collection of specific catalogs, as well as a sample inch catal g and a s mple_inch project. S now the ew data structure, th new wa we're goi g to put together our component specific tions is going to include project .

. One wa we can s art the spec editor is o double lick this file – the C DWorxS ecEditor. xe file. So I'm going to doubleclick that file and the spec e itor will st rt.

1. What e're going o do first i set up our new catalog. A catalog in this syst m is a collection of t bles that are the source f iles for all f the com onents. In the past, it would be similar to working ith library M or librar y_I. We c n use the sample catalogs if we choose, but if we tart addin or modifyi g it, we’ll changing the source c talogs. It' better to make o r own copies, and th n keep th ones that ship with the system separa e.

2. Click t is top bu ton and s lect new catalog . T ere are several types of catalogs: a company c talog, an i dustry catalog, or a global catalog.

3. If we're an end us r, we would make a ompany c talog. If e were an engineeri g design firm making a variety of catalogs for clients, we mig t want to ake an in ustry catalog. I'm going to click on company catalog . I’ll leave the ame the same h re (Comp ny1.cmp). You can insert your company name in the field if you want.

4. Next w ’ll tell the ystem wh re our source-file is l cated. If we go t this box ith dots in it and click,, we can c oose one f the samples that s ip with the system. or this example, I'm going to use the Sample_Me tric_Inch. Why don't you do th same for this starti g exampl , and then later you can do the one you like?




5. After selecting that, click ope . Next we’ll set the nits. Clic the do n arrow, nd choose the Metri /Inch format. Now things are set as n eded.

6. The cat log can b saved in ifferent locations, if y u want to locate it in a specif ic folder. I’ll save this example i the default folder a d click OK. It's esse tially a blank catalog at this poi t.

7. If I double-click t e data ta les, there's nothing down in them. he sample catalog th t I used for my source is down t the bott m of the screen. It's shown as he base c talog here.

8. If you click the pl s next to size table i the base catalog at the bot om, you c n see ther e is a size table in th base catalog. I’ll highli ht it and t en hold down the l ft mouse button nd drag i up and r lease . It ill get copied into the size table in the new compan catalog.

9. So that's what we're going to do. We're going to c ick these tables in the base catalog drag them p into ou company catalog . That wa we can b ild our cat log to match the sample. The reas n you use this method is there ay be so e things you don't w nt to bring in. I’ll cop the thickness table up, and I'll do the same with the end t pe tables. You can see the e are a va iety of tabl s in the b se catalog.




0. I’ll click on the bu tweld end type, and then I'll scroll down while h lding do n the Shi t key. Th t selects all of these. Then dr ag them up, and the ’ll be copied into th end type table in the compa y catalog.

1. Now we'll bring in the data t bles. Th se are all the measur ment files.. These used to be text files in t e library folders in earlier v rsion. In t is version they don’t contain descriptive data, just measur ment data..

2. I’ll com down and click the lus next t o data tables. The differen compone t types ar all listed. Holding down the shift key, I’ll click the first a nd last on listed, w ich will select all of them.

3. Then h lding do n the left utton of the mouse I’ll drag these up to the c mpany catalog and release. hey'll be copied f rom the sample catal g into the ompany catalog. If I hit the plus next to data table in the co pany catalog, I can see that all the information is in there. S why don't you get it o this poi t, and the we'll continue from here?

. In the p evious vid o we crea ed our ne catalog. Now let’s see ho it's organized. This is a list of t bles that ontain all the info mation ne ded to de cribe the component and to build w rking specifications.

. Looking at these, e have a ize table; e have a aterial, schedule, thickness, end type, and data tables. I'm going to click the plus next to the si e table, a d I'll double click Size, a d the table opens.

. I can see now that this catalo is going t be able t handle components that r nge from n eighth o an inch all the way up in size t 60 inche . We can dd to this table or take things out if we want to. It's n XML file, and it's g ing to beh ve similar to a spr adsheet.

. For our example, ighlight t e three a d a half , or just click in this square, and then you can right clic and click to remov this ro . Click " K", and it will take th t size out of the tabl . You ca see that it’s quite ea y to work ith.

. Click the plus ne t to the material tab e. Doubl click MA and it o ens the list of materi ls that are available f or our components. We an see dif erent kind of specifi ations, grades, compositions, and densities. W can see ow these are applied to vari us types of compone ts.

. There's also a part number a sociated ith each p rticular kind of mate ial. Later, we can us these val es to buil an automa ic part nu ber for ea h compon nt.

. Scrollin down, yo can see this list is v ry extensi e. Here's a typical ntry, an A 3 Grade B. The den ities are g ing to be used later, along ith the thic ness tabl , to calcul te the weight f components.

. Next, w ’ll take a l ok at the chedule table. Double click SCH to open it. S own are t e various chedules that are include in this catalog. You can always add to these if you like.

. We'll do the same on the thi kness table. We'll click the plus, a d double click THK. The system shows t e component thicknesses. If w look at a ne-inch c mponent, we can see how the thicknes are show based on the schedules.

0. Go to schedule 4 columns and expa d it. The wall thickne s on a one-inch sche ule 40 is .38. That's the value listed in millimeter . If you're orking in imperial, you'll have a decimal inch value. This tabl is going t contain all the thickne s information needed for these component . The system has the ability to map these thickness valu s into the long de criptions; there's an asy proce s to make that happen.

1. Next, click the plus next to nd type t bles and xpand it. There are a numb r of end ty es availa le for use in CADWor x. It is straight forwar to create components with diff rent end types. or example, we coul make a g te valve t at's threade on one side and fla ged on the other. W 'll do that s part of ur exercis s later.




2. Let’s minimize thi table, and click the plus next o data tables. Scroll do n to Valv s and cli k the plu . This shows t e various types of valves in the catalog. It’s similar t what w had in ea lier versio s.

3. Click the plus ne t to gate alve, and e'll see the different gate valves that ar included in this catalog.

4. Double click the ate flang d 150 (gat _f_150), a d you can see that this file ra ges from two-inch p to a 30-inch file. This file contains all the measurement d ta. There are no descriptive data in this, but it as all the easurem nts that it needs t draw the componen s.

5. Let's sa we want d to get a larger rang here. W at if we wanted gate valve that went up to 48 inches or so e other size range? What we need t do is edit and expan this rang of sizes.. We could take a val e cut she t and begi adding entries ight in this table. Another choic would be to import a file from somewhe e else that has the d ta. Let's see how that is done.

6. To brin to the t the poi import l system

in a legac file, we n ed to do a few steps.. Scroll up p, and we can see t e name o the catal g. If I pu ter on th t and righ click, I h ve an opti n here to gacy data from files. So you do the same, and the ill display a dialog b x for us.




7. This will let us brin in some f iles. We c n bring in an individual file, or e can brin in folders. We can lso take things out. I'm going to click Add Files," and we can do a se rch and find the file to import.

8. By defa lt, the sys em will take you to y ur current location on your ne est version of CAD orx, probably in the spec folder. Click o the C: dr ive, and w ’ll find the folder or file we want to bring in.

9. If you h ve a previ us versio of CADW rx on you machine you could go to th CADWorx 2012 or C ADWorx 2 10 folder (whatever version ou might ave). If y u don't ha e a previou version o CADWorx on your machine, I’v included the file ou’ll need in this video in the do nload file . There’s a button called “Lesson Files” on the webpage where this video is being played. You can click i to downlo d the files you’ll nee in these exercises.

1. Now I’ll look for th data files hat I need. What I'm looking for is a flanged gate v lve data file which is set up for larger sizes. It's this ne right h re (GAT_ _L.150). If I I double click it , it will brin it into the import dialog box. N te: If you don’t have a previou version o CADWorx on your machine you can double click the file in you CADWorx _Lesson_ iles\Speci ications folder that you do nloaded. he file is named GA _F_L.150.




2. Clicking “By Colu n Name” displays so e column names. If you clic “By Colu n Count” ou'll see t ose. We an bring it in by either one.

3. Click “ y Colum Count.” I you double click th file nam , the data file will open and you can see t e details. This is a gate valve that go s from 18 p to 48 in hes. So t is will wor great fo what we eed.

4. In the older versio s, the data files inclu ed what anufacturer the valve data came from. T is information in this f ile came from a rane 55 c talog. Th valves us ally have information like this given sinc they can ary. With fittings, thi informati n is usually not inclu ed since t ey're going to be co sistent.

5. We've got this hig lighted. W 've got a list of data f ile types, so we will elect one that match s the type of file we’r bringing in. If we select the G te Valve, uttweld/ langed, a d we clic Import, it will impo rt the data file into ou catalog.

6.Another thing to d is click o the View Log File utton, an you'll see a record of the different conve sions that you've done to bring in legacy data into your catalog. This is so ething you can print out later to have a r cord of yo r work.




7. Now let’s click the "Close" button. Lo k down u der gate valves nd you’ll s e the file e just imp rted. Her it is, this gate fla ge large ( AT_F_L_ 150). If w double click it, the file will pen, and e can see the data.

8. So that' how you an bring i legacy data into you catalog in the new version. ou might have some componen s you built yourself from scratch, and yo want to b ing them i and have them as part of yo r catalog.

9. So you do what we’ve sh wn up to here, and then w 'll continu after that.

. We're aking goo progress. In the previous vide , we importe a legacy ile, a file fr om CADW rx 2012 o 2010 that could dr aw large g te valves. We saw how to go about importing information into the 2013 syst m from sp cs and from da a files that were crea ed in earli r versions.

. Now we’ll see how to create ata files fr m scratch.. We'll create couple o new data files in th s video. This is what you’ll d in the future, for exa ple, if you want to a d a new type of alve into your catalo .

. In this example I'v got a cou le of cut sheets for s me valve , and we' e going to use those as exampl s. Another thing we' e going to take a loo at is som of the en anced m de setting , which will show en anced gr phics. In this new version of CADWorx, if you s t your dra ing mode to enhanc d, the sys em can di play bolt holes in the flanges.

Let’s look at flang s. I’ll exp nd the typ s of Flanges, and click o the plus ext to Flange Weld Neck, and then I’ll double click on t e FLG_W 150. This opens up he data fil .

. There are three things to fill out to get th enhanced graphic to work. They're g ing to be alues for the bolt ho e diameter , the bolt circle dia eter , and the bolt h le numb r . Then when w ’re runnin in enhan ed mode e'll see th holes in the flan es get modeled, bas d on thes values in the data tables.

. Hover the pointer on Gate alve and then right can ad a data ta le. The sy tem will br ing up a di us, and we can be in to fill this out. So hat we'll c GAT_F CMPT_150. This will be a data file for a c flanged gate valve, 150 poun rating.

. In the size table click the bo x with 3 d ts. Here ou can specify he sizes t at you wa t to work ith. We’ll nter an 8 , 10”, an a 12” val e. You c uld add however ma y sizes yo wanted to include.

. The next step is to set these alves to h ve the sa e end condition on both nds. Clic the box t Apply to the same end-type on both ends. Th first end ill be a fl ange.




0. For the end type, elect the FLG_gat_ _150.

1. The par t number is optional. For this e ample, let's put in 0055. F r descrip ion, we can put in here GATE ALVE, COMP CT EXPA DING, an click OK.

2. Our dat file for is eady for filling out. Click in the box undern ath the h b OD dia eter and e'll put in some values. We're goi g to use 3 2, and the one under that will b 406. T e one und r that will e 482. Then we'll g over to t e right for the lengths, and w 'll enter 2 2, 330, an 358. Finally f or the wei ht, click i the field or that and enter 281, 399, an 562. Thi will complete the di ensional i formation for the alves.

k the X t close it, nd save it . The system has a icator next to the na e, but tha will disap ear once ct or the catalog is s ved and r opened. e now measure ent data i here to d aw this. Next we’ll e top wor s for this valve.

4. Minimi e the valves and scr oll up to Top Works. Click the plus. Click the plus next to Wheel. T is is wher we’ll add a Top Works file. H ver over heel and right clic . Now we can ad a top wo ks data fil e for the g te valve we just created.




5. The na e for the top works file will be WHEEL _GAT_CMPT_150_ .

6. For Type, click th down ar ow, and s lect Whe l. Size will be the ame, 8, 1 , and 12. Descripti n: TOP ORKS FOR COMP CT EXPA DING GATE VALVE, then clic OK.

7. Now we’ll fill out some data. There’s n t a lot req ired. This value will be 150, 165, and th n finally 1 8. The o erator thickness will be 12, 15, an 18. The operator le gth will be 1168, 1 76, and finally 1567 .

8. Now cl se this by clicking t e X, and ave it. This is ready to work now. We ave one more valve to add, but let's save i for the ext video. Get this in ormation filled in as e showed, and the we'll continue on aft r that.

. In this video, we're going to c ntinue ad ing a second valve. This val e will hav different nd types on each en . This valve will be t readed on one end and flanged on the other end.

. We’re i the spec editor . Click the plu s next to he data tables , scroll do n to valves and clic the plus ext to it to expand the list. Click the pl s next to ate valve and that will exp nd. When we look a the data files, we ca see our previou valve (G T_F_CMP _150).

. If your display has a small gr phic next to the valve we previou ly entered,, it’s usuall not a pro lem. To clear it, you can clo e and reo en the spec editor. nother wa is to go ahead and right cli k on this, nd go to roperties. Under Properties, add initials or you name under the "Cr ated by" and "Edited by" fields. If you hen close the Proper ies dialog it should lear the exclamation oint graphic.

Now w 'll add the second valve. I'm going to righ click on Gate V lve, and I' going to add a dat table. This is going to be a ga e valve th t has special end typ s. Push down the cap lock ke and type AT_THD x_FLG. It's a gate v lve threade on one e d and flanged on the other.

We ne d to have size tabl available next. If you don't see it, click the down a row and just select si e. We're only going to do one ntry for this example. Click the box with he dot dot dot, an we'll set i for two in hes. Click OK once that’s done.

This v lve will h ve differe t starting and endi g conditi ns. On the previous valve we had that bo checked, since w had flanged on both ends. But for this valve, for the startin end click the down arrow and look for a hreaded gate valve.

. Scroll own and l ok for "thr aded." T en look fo a gate valve. he one listed is "thre ded gate", and it's got an 800 pound r ting (THRD_GAT_T C_800).

. We’ll do somethin similar for the other nd conditi n. Look f r "flanged gate", so croll down to "flan e," and lo k for GA .




. Listed i the FLG_ gat_f_150 . The part number i optional but enter 0 56. The description will be GATE VALV , THD x FLG. Once finished, click O .

0. We ha e one size valve to fill out. On t e hub OD, use 60.3. For the length, en er 178. F r the weig t, enter 4.

1. Click the X in the orner of the dialog b x to close this and click Y s to save it.

2. The graphic next t the new file appears. Right click here, an go to Pr operties. nter your initials here. In my ca e, I'll put AH, and I'll do the in the lowe field, then close it.

3. To clear the graphic, we’ll cl se and re pen the ompany catalog . Click on he main b tton at the top, and click on Sample Inch. Sav the work when prompted.

4. Open t e Sample Inch catalog. Next, click on the new catalog you just completed (Company1.cmp). When it reopens, everything will come in clean. o to Data Tables, and click the plus, and com down to alves. Expand the Gate valves and you can see now that the work w just completed is there.. So saving and reopening the c talog will clear notification s mbols like we just ha .

15. The next videos will cover working with specifications. We'll bring in some legacy specs, and we'll add some records to them. We'll also use these data files we just completed and we’ll add them into a spec for use.

Specifications ideo Five

. In the p evious vid os, we've been working with th catalogs. We set p a comp ny catalog, and we organized s me tables. So we have a lot o data that e can be in to work with. Wha we're g ing to do ow is orga ize that d ta in specifications. After th t the spec can be u ed to mod l compon nts in CADWorx.

. The Sp c Editor i running. ou can click the button on the Ribbon o start it, or you can o in the folder and d uble click the .exe file to star it.

. Click the top butt n in the s ec editor nd select "New project. " Projects are collections of specs. It’s ho they’re organiz d in the n w version. Leave th name as Project1 , r you can add your wn name if you like. The syste requires source atalog. Click the bo with thr e dots in i t to browse.

. Now just looking a what's list d we can see some f these ar quite specific. This one, for in tance, is oing to be for fibergla s reinforc d pipe in i ches, in i perial sizes. Here's one tha 's going to be stainless steel in i ches. So this is how they brought some of the old ata acros . They have them formatt d the data files and s ec inform tion in this way now.



. Toward the end of the list we see some ample inc , sample metric, ample me ric inch ca alogs. These are goi g to be more extensive. T ese actually are what we used t see under LIB_I or LIB_MM or Lib_M.

. And we used the Sample_Metric_Inch c talog whe we made our first catalog, o r Compan catalog. o let’s go back and select t at one, it’ going to be the Company1.cm p file, the Compa y catalog, and click pen.

. For the bill of mat rial type, leave that s fabrica ion.

. Next ar some options for setting up a long description format or a par number f rmat. On option is to select certain fields out of the tables, and the system will act ally put these togeth r into a string for yo as a long description.

. This is way to automate de criptions i your specifications. You ca bring in s me material information. You can bring in some thickness inf ormation, i you would like to include thickne s values into the long descriptio s. We'll look at that closely in a later vi eo. For now, let's le ve it blank.




0. There i a similar ption for setting up a part number. The system now allows us to brin in different fields out of these tables and put the together into a strin that woul build a dynami type part umber. Using this a proach, we can kno exactly ow to ord r a specifi component.

1. For this project description nter Test Project. By default, i will sav it in the C ADWorx folder under Plant, und r Spec. You co ld save thi elsewher if you wa ted to. I'll just say OK here an accept the default. Note: If you want t restrict access to modifying your p ojects an specific tions you can sa e these in a folder on your network with access restrict ons)

2. Our project has been created.. At this point, we co ld add a spec from scratch r we coul import on into our roject. W have some other options her . We coul move data from a previou project o er to our n w project. For this e ample, let's import a legacy sp cification into our Pr ject. Clic on the Import egacy Specificatio button.

3. Click the box wit old CA Worx fol a CAD orx 2012 your sy tem you c

in it to br wse. Bro se to yo r ave one). On my machine here’s ou have old specs elsewhere o o them an import th m.




4. If there are not le acy spec on your achine I included some i the folder you downl aded with the lessons files in it. You sh uld have a CADWorx Lessons_ Files\Specifications folder. If we go th re for a m ment, you’ll see ther is an A10, B10, C10 spec. S you can se these if you like. I' going to go back to my CA Worx 201 and get ine there.

5. Select the A10_ spec, an click Op n.

6. The sy tem requir es a catalog to link to. It also needs a size table. e'll select Import and the spec will be imp orted. A note he e shows t at it came in success ully.




7. Import he A10, B10, and C10 spec. You can im ort them from th CADWorx _Lesson_ iles\Specif ications folder, or if y u have some on you system y u want to import in, you can select t em. I'll import the B10_M and t e C10_M pecs. Yo can als bring in a y of the old sample specs as w ll, if you have access to them. (Note: In the Sp c folder i your latest version yo can also import da a from an of the catalog s, project , and spe s in the f lder. These are ne version s of the le gacy specs found in earlier ve rsions of CADW rx)

8. Comple e things a shown to this point, and we’ll continue after that.

. Now let's modify the spec. I'm going to double click the A10_M, and it will pen in the editor. I'll get a list o components displaying, and t ere is a d tail scree in the low r half of t e screen. This will fil l out as I s lect a co ponent.

1. Select the gate v lve, 150 p und flan ed. The i formation fills out in the details at the bottom, and e want to make some change here.

2. Let's sa here that we want to put some Top Work on this valve. o we'll cli k the down arrow, and we'll select our To Works file. Find heel_Gate _150_F_M.top, and e'll use th t one.

3. Next le 's put a ta in. We'll lick in th Tag field, and we'll put C33P for that. So we have some op ions here, some thin s that we can do. We can do s me speci l SKEYs f r Isogen if we wan . We can ut it on a ertain layer, and we ave optio s to contr l the color s.

4. Here ar the size r anges. If you wanted to modify the size ranges, you could ome in and check on or check ff some of these b xes. Dep nding on hat the data file is, it'll show it. I'm going to click a ply to tak these changes.




5. So why don't we g t it to here, and what we'll do in a moment is test this.

6. OK. W 've modifi d our spec. Go up here to the main butto on the pec Edit r and clic Save. This will save all the change that we h ve made to this point.

1. Click Pipe and click a couple of point . Now we want to see how the material is being des ribed. If e double lick that pipe, w ’ll see what the long escription says.

2. The sy tem has d scribed it as a Sche ule 40, lik we wanted. Also, it as a com a, and then the thick ess value with a TH . So it ca e out just like we wanted.

3. You ca see that t is is very owerful, b cause yo can bring in all kinds of infor ation fro the data files, and a tomate building a long description with a number of option . You can also build a part n mber in a imilar fashion. This ew spec format ives us a l t more ve satility tha we had before.




4. OK out of the dialog box, a d next we'll bring in a gate valve. Click o the gate valve on t e specvie tool palette, and cli k a couple of point to place i t. If the pi ing rules re set, we can just click righ on the end of this p ipe and d ag to the right. ou can se how connected to the pipe and placed the flange, asket and bolts, bec use those rules were on for automa ic placement. Also it placed the Top Work .

Specifications ideo Seven

. In this video, we're going to a d some g te valves into the system. I'm in the spec edit r ; we have our Proje t_1 open, and I'll ouble-cli k on the 10_M spe ification. e're goin to add t o valves into this sp c. So if I ut the pointer over the wor d valves and right-c ick, I can lick on A d. The bottom rea of the screen op ns and is ow availa le to add new val e.

. The typ of valve e'll add is a gate valve, so click the down arrow and find gate. In the ata table, click the d wn arrow to find the gate valve we’ll be adding. In an earlier vid o, we ma e two ne valve dat files. We made a compact exp nding gat valve, and we made a thread d by flang d gate valve.

. First we'll add the ompact expanding gate valve. I'll click on that, an the syste will read the size o t of the da a file that we made earlier. ou can se , it has th 8” to 12” etting. Everything else fill d out in the data is standard. T e system reads the schedul and the material information, a d fills it ou for us a tomaticall .



. Let's sp cify the top works for this valve. Looking t the availabl entries, e'll set the top work to be the one that we cre ted. Scroll down and find that. I 's the wheel gate compact (WHEEL GATE_C PT_150_ _M.top), o that has now be n added.

. This will be an optional comp nent. We'll click on the butto to set it for Optio al, and fo the descr iption ent r GATE VALVE, COMPACT EXPAN ING. The tag will b C33E an then cli k Add.

. Next, w 'll add the other valv . Scroll back up to alves, and right-cl ck on val es. Then click add, and the sy tem will open up another dialog box t fill out.

. Scroll own and elect gate valves.




. This on will be th threaded by flange gate val e that we created earlier. Scroll down t the data ile and select it. When it’s selected, the syste will show its set for two-inch size. T e values i the dialog box are filled out an everythin looks g od.

0. So ever thing is filled out well, click Add. One thin to mention here is e made t is an optional compo ent, and hat that does fo us is on t e spec vie tool pale te, when it lists the differen gate valv s, these that have Optional che ked off will come in shown in lue. This indicates they are not the default gate valve.

1. Next we’ll add a couple of co trol valves, so we ca illustrate how to o that. Scroll up an look for ontrol va ves. Look under fl nged, the control v lve, 150-p und flang d. If we look acr oss, there is a CNT_ _A_150 d ta file whi h contains the valve’s measur ements. This is the s andard control valve include in the specification. Scroll up o valves, here you can rig t-click on Valves, a d click A d.




2. We'll add a control valve. Cli k the do n arrow and click o Control. Now we’ll select on to add.

3. Click the down ar row. The ONTROL F_A appears in the list. No other ones rated at 1 0 are liste . We’ll add some data file to o r catalogu , which will then let us bring them into this spec.

9. The dir ctory we'r looking in is a legac version of CADWorx, which o my machine is CAD orx 2012. Yours could be a 2010 or a 2009 or hatever. If you don' have one of these, remem er we incl ded the data files in t e group o files you downlo ded earlie (the CAD orx_Lesson_Files f lder).

0. Located in this folder are some control v lves. The e are the data files for other kinds of control valve . Click on the B file, and hold down the Shift ke and click on the K ile. Click Open.

2. And then if I click on one of the files, I'll e given options for importing. Click on the control valve b utton and click Import, and the system will b ing it in to your catal g. Do tha for eac of these control valves. Now we have some new data files that can e added t our speci ication.

3. Save t e catalog and reop n the Project1 proje ct. The system prompts if e want to update th project fr m the bas catalog . Click Y s and the double-click the A 0 spec.

4. Scroll own to Valves and r ight-click n Valves. Click Ad .

5. Click the down ar row for Ty e and sel ct Control Valve. F r the Dat Table yo will see different val e data file available. Hover over these nd you ca see there is a Fishe Type A, a Fisher ype E, an a Fisher ype K.

6. Click o the Type E control alve and a dialog bo appears. The val es are co ing from t e data file.

. Let's st rt out with our catalo . Click o the main button, and open up the comp ny catalog we create earlier (Comp ny1.cmp).

. Click the plus ne t to the d ta tables nd scroll own to the flanges and expa d them (cl ck on the + sign). lick on the plus next to Flan e Weld N ck, and d uble clic the FLG_W _150. The data fields open up and some o the fields will be changed so we can pr duce enh nced graphics when we model them.



. I'm going to expan this colu n display little, and we're going to set u the 6 inc size here for enhanced graphic . If we hover over this fi ld we can see it's th raised face diameter . So we’ll click in th at field an enter in 215.9 (Note: It’s on th row for he 6” size).

0. What's this will do is when th pipe length you’re placing in the model exceeds 60 0 (6 mete s) the system will prompt you asking i you want o split the pipe into s orter seg ents. Thi can let ou keep pipe lengths within fabr ication gui elines, if you wa t to utilize it. Again, ere’s a ne rule which can assi t in design consiste cy.

1. The ET value in the right column has t do with c mponent insertio . It’s a sy tem settin and not something ou’ll have o change. It stands or Bitwise End Type lacement Control. The nu ber will vary, depending upon t e type of component.




2. Scrolling down to alves, go o a gate v lve and d uble-clic the GA _F_150. ou’ll see that these have an ETS of 3. Yo can pla e a valve f rom either end, and y u can right-click and place it using a ce ter inserti n. So ther e are three possible insertio s, which atch the E S value.

3. Some o the ETS alues get retty invol ed. If we look at Tees, it has a ETS of s ven. So t ere are a umber of ays you can ins rt a Tee, such as left end to the center, branch first to the center, etc.

4. The easiest thing t do if you’re creating a new file is use the ETS value in an existing file. Typically t e system ill have this already done for y u automatically.

. Click o the Specifications ab, click t e Add button. It brings up a file for us to use f r filling ou the new spec’s informa ion. For this example name the new spec 20_M.

. The co ponent class will b 150. Th temperat ure rating will be 78 C (we're in metri units her ). The pressure rating ill be 14 AR.

So if we took this and clic ed on this first field , then held down the Shift key and cli ked on th bottom f ield, and apped th m across to the o her side of the dialog box, we w uld build long part number.. This string is unique for each component, and since it's all a tomated, let's just go ahead an do it this ay for this exampl .

4. When y u use this method, y u can use certain fields, or separat them wit hyphens. You have options on utilizing this feature.

5. Again, ince it's c mpletely automatic, and click OK. So that's done.

. In the p evious vid os we mo ified the company catalog and added a new spec. Now let's go into C DWorx an we'll brin in some compone ts. We’ll use the enh nced mode for this test.

It’s set to yes by efault, so I’ll press E ter to continue. The ystem will split the pipe into t o segments and the I can carr y with the routing f more pipe. I’ll com over and click and t en press Enter to exit.

1. Now I want to look at this fro a 3D vie point. In y system, at the top right of y screen i the view ube. If I click on the corner I could hav a southwest isome ric view . 2. In setting your vie , you can se the vie cube for that, or yo can als use the View tab on the ribbon. If you use that, you can sel ct a south est isometric view a shown in he video. Another option is t use the enu bar a ross the top of the screen. You can click View and then 3D views wh re you can select a southwest isometric iew.

6. Now we’ll shade this. In my system I ca go to the top are on my screen and it will display some shading options. I’ll set it t Concep ual. If this is not available, you an go to isual Style , Concep ual on the view tab o the ribbo . You can also use the menu bar by clicking Vie , Visual St les, and onceptual.

7. You ca see how the 3D Enh nced mode works. I might be something you wo ld want to do for a pr sentation to a client, or just t have you drawings look more ealistic.

Sp cificat ons Vi eo Eleven

1. In this video we're g ing to buil a branch ta ble. On my system, the spec editor is runnin . There's a couple of ays you can start it. If you have CADWorx open, on the CADWor Plant I tab you can click on he Spec Editor button . This is an easy way to start the program.

. If you use Windows Explorer, y u can go to the CADWorx folder a d go to Plant. You ca open up th spec folde , and you'll see a list of files.

. In the list is a file called CADW rxSpecEditor.exe. Yo can double click tha to start the spec editor. This is a way you can se the spec editor as a standalone applicatio . You don' necessaril have to ha e a full lic nse of CA Worx insta led to run it.

. In the spec editor, cl ck on the b utton at th top left of the screen, then clic on Projec t One. This will open our project. f the catalo has been changed, the system will see that. f prompted, click yes to update t e project fr m base cat log.

. Double lick the A20_M specif cation. Th spec is no open for editing. Looking at he screen, down toward the bottom we'll see w have a Branch Table tab. Sometimes if this ets hidden on the display, ou can always adjust t e task bar a the bottom.



. You can pull the tas bar down r back up, and that may reveal the tabs, if you don't see them at firs . Click on the Branch tab, and it opens up the branch table for editing. You can see that the size ranges correspond to the sizes that we s t earlier, w en we set u p our proje t. We don't have the 3 1/2. We do 't have the -inch size. We don't have the 22-inch siz in the bran h table.

. Click in the square as shown. his will be a 12 by 12. The main size is displayed alo g the left, and the bran h size alon the top. When one of these s uares is selected, and you right clic k, you have some op ions. The system will show the types of components you c n select fo the branch table to use. Right click.

. We'll select the Stra ight Tee . hen it’s selected, it will be set for this size combinatio . When yo select a Tee, a Cross i included. So this s lection will allow Tees and Crosse to be used for this size combina ion.

. If you d n't want to ave crosses, you can just simply not have them in your s pec. That's another wa to control some of this. Have the cell highlighted, the do a Cont ol-C and then click on ell and Control V it. So w can begin to add some tees across he branch table.

11. We have our tees in he table no . I just placed them in this outer row across the branch table. Yo do the sa e. Next I'll click on an interior square, an right on t e mouse.

12. This cell represents 12-inch m in and a 1 -inch reduced size combina ion. If I ri ht click in his square, I will be al owed to pu in a vari ty of fitting s. In this br anch table, I just want t have the reducin tees or re ucing cros es. So that selection gets checked.

13. Now we can Contro l-C that and click in an ther space, se Control V to fill t out. So I'll begin to fill out these reducing te s next. Let me paus the video and finish th s step. Then you can fill out your table as hown.

14. Here are the reducin tees filled out. You g t your bran h table to look the same. You can see that some of these extend ri ht on up across a number of squares, on t e smaller a d the large size ranges.




15. Next to et placed will be the ol ts. I'll clic in one of t ese other empty c lls, right cl ick and sel ct olet. W at we'll have to do if you want limit these to c rtain types of olets - pe haps you o ly want a weld ole for some of these size ombinations - we'll jus have to restrict t e sizes wit in the spec itself.

16. The branch table is set to allow ifferent kin s of olets. Depending on what' available i your spec, it'll let thos come in. I'll go ahead and plac these in. ou get you branch table to this point.

17. In the fi ished branch table you an see ther 's a large range of sizes that use lets. Now f these olet are available in our sp c and in ou catalog size ranges, the branch ta ble will all w them to e used. Th same is true of the tees, reducing tees, or an of these components t at are listed here.

But if w try to put i , for instan e, an 18-in h by one-inch thredole , or 18-by one inch w ldolet, and it doesn't ha ppen to be in our catalog size ranges or part o our spec, t en it won't atter. It won't come i anyway. The syste will just di play a mes age that it is not available. So the br nch table will allow it, i f the components are actually vailable within the size ranges in t e spec and atalog.

19. I'm goin to click on the Component tab now. To test the branch table let' add a couple of components. Let's right click in the blan k area in the top half of the scree n. Select Add. Select ees, and for the type select a straight tee.

0. The data table will be Tee_W_Std. The dialog box will fill out. For the long description se TEE D SCRIPTI N. Click dd.

1. Next will be a reducing tee. I'll ight click nd say Ad . We'll put in anoth r tee; it's go ing to be our group. The type will e reducing.

3. Next added will be olets. Right click in the blank area and click Add. T e group will be olet. The type will be olet.

I'll scroll up, and we an see the sizes that we have to work with on weldolet. he weldolet standard s zes are 1/2-inch, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 1 . These are the sizes o the weldolet itself. Th se weldolets can be welded onto larger pipe t make branches.




7. So there are certain ombination in our catalog coming from the da a files that we'll be able to place when we actually start pl cing this compon nt. The branch table has some ranges of sizes, hich goes all the way up to 24 nches. But we don't re lly know if some of these combina ions are av ilable. If they're in the catalog, the 'll be able to come in according t the branch table. But if they're not part of the catalog f iles, then w won't reall know that at this point.

8. Let's go ake a quick look at that. We can cl ck on the ain button, and we an save ou project. et's open u the Company1 catalog . Now let's t ke a look a some of th se data file .

9. Click th plus sign ext to data tables, and scroll dow to Tees. Click th plus next to tees and click the pl s next to t e reducing . Select the TEE_W_ R_STD. e can see the size ranges that are available for this.

0. Scrollin down find a 24-inch te . The main size is 24, nd our reduced ize can go rom 8 all the way up to 22. So the atalog has specific ize combin tions that t is reduced ee will wor with. If we try to select size co binations that are not li ted here, w 'll get a message that it's not available.




1. Now let' take a loo at the olets. I'm going o click the plus next t O-Lets , and again the plus next to O-Let. e'll come own and double c lick the W L_W_ST . We can see that the eld olets can go from 1/8 up to 10 inches.

2. This column, PSA, tands for pi pe size allo ance. So i I expand that column we can ee that for a 2-inch wel olet, you can put that n a combi ation of main to reduce all the wa up to 14. ut if we tr to put a -inch weld olet on an 1 inch or a 24 inch pipe, it wouldn't be allow d. That’s ecause the atalog only goes up to 14 inches in size.

. When w test the 6 y 2 ½, 6 on the main, a d 2 ½ on the reduced, the branch t ble should orce an olet.

. In both size combinations, in the 3 inch reduced, and the 2 ½ reduced, there are both reducing Ts, and t redolets or weldolets a ailable in both of t ose combi ations in th catalog. I we check the Compa y1 catalog, and revie the data t bles, we ca see which tees are vailable for use. Click Tee, Tee R ducing, and double click TEE_W_R_S D.

. Looking at the 6” si e on the main size, we an see there is a 6 by 3 reducing Tee, and there's also a six by 2 1/2 reducing Tee. So the reducin T is avail ble in the catalog in b th of those combin tions .

. Next we’ll check the olets. Clic the plus next to O-L ts, and clic on the plus next to -Let. Dou le click th WOL_W STD and verify th re’s a 3 inch size and a so a 2 1/2 inch size. E pand the PSA col mn and checking under the 3 inch weldolet, that fitting is available in a 6 by 3 weldolet. The 2 ½ is a so availabl in a 6 by 2 ½ size. Both the weld lets and th e reducing Tees are a ailable in both 6 by 3 and 6 b 2 ½.




. This test will check if the branch table actually restricts hich choic can be u ed. If not, oth of thes fittings will be availab e. Let's see if the branch table is working s designed

10. I'm back in CADWorx in the drawing, and I have main size set to 6. I'll click Pipe and I'll draw a len th of pipe, nd I'll press Enter to exit routing. If the pipe is longe than the allowed lengt (according to the pi ing rules) and the rule or pipe spli ting is on, t e system will prompt f or splitting. In my case I’ll press E ter to accept that.

11. And what I want to o now is dr w a fitting hich will show how the branch t ble functio s. I'm goin to bring in a 3 inch br nch into this, and I'll bring in a 2 inch branch as well. Set the Red ced size to 3 inches . ext, I’ll click Pipe and just click a point and rag it up t the first pipe to for a branch into it. For this I'll use Osnap perpend icular into he pipe that was drawn first.

12. The branch table, it hould force me into a r ducing Tee right here. So when I click Per endicular into the lin , they syst m shoes what ch ices I can se for the ranch con ection . It hows Reducin g Tees, and this is what’s available. When I click the listed reducing tee it place it. You do the same to verify this n your system.




13. So the b anch table idn't give me an option for a weldolet, which is good. Now set the ain size to 2 ½. I’ll ri ht-click o Pipe this time, an I'll use socket weld. I'll pick a point and drag it up and osnap p rpendicula r into this inch pipe rawn first.

14. Now the system is giving an op ion to plac an olet fo the branc connecti on. The br nch table a d spec (and catalog) ha e both a threadol t and a wel olet with those size co binations. I'll use a weldolet. You can see there was no option for a reducing Tee. S you can ee the bra ch table is controlling which type of fitting can be used for branches.

15. Now set the sizes to 6 by 2 ½. lick on a reducing Tee, and mov the curs r out on t e 6” pipe. 'll do a shi t right-click and click Nearest, and then c ick on this pipe. Pres Enter to a ccept the prompt .

16. The syst m then pro pts for the branch dire tion, when I drag dow and click , it displays a message that says the component size does not mat h branch t able. So th size is available - its p rt of my siz e ranges in the catalog, but the br nch table revented e from placing i t. The bra ch table worked as it should.

1. In this video, we're going to buil a user sha e, a custom component. I'm in C DWorx. et that started, if you d n't have it oing at this time. We'll click New, to start new draw ng, and we'll use a metric t mplate.

. Next I'll click on the Setup button. Click current drawing and set the drawing mode to 2 double lin e. We’ll use that settin in this example. We’ll create a profile or an in-lin componen , and the system ill revolve it around a center line la er. It will also create a 3D solid from it as ell.

. You'll see how this orks soon. Next click n Specific tion/Size a d click browse. Select Project1, and then set he spec to 20_M. The main size will be 10-inch. Clic Apply & lose.

. We'll draw a couple of flanges t at we can use for const uction lines to make our custom hape. I'm oing to clic the RFW flange . Place the face end fi rst and dra out to the right and click for the butt wel end direction.



. Next I'm going to put another fla nge out to t e right, with the face o the flange facing to the right. There will be distance o 662 betwe n them. I’ l click Fla ge, and notice the prom pt. On my ystem I’ll need to ight-click f or buttweld. I’ll do that, and then ause the mouse r ght on the end of the f rst flange, but I'm no going to click. T en I'll just move the ouse to th right, and the system will start tracking.

. If you move the mouse back to t e first flan e and touch it, you lose the track ing. So ma e sure you over right n it initiall , don't click , and the system acquires the poin . Drag out to the righ t and type 662 and ress enter . The buttw ld end of t e flange ge s placed at that point, and then I'll drag out to the righ and click . This places the flange.

. Now the e flanges ill serve as he outline f r the user shape we’ll e construc ing. Next a polyline will be constr cted aroun the edges f these fla ges. Turn off Ortho turn on Pol r. Right click on Pola r and go to Settings.

. Verify the increment angle is set to 45. Click OK to ex t the dialog box. Ty e pline to tart the pol line command. Next I’ll click points around t e edge of t e flange. I’ll click the irst point o the end o the pur le center li e, and then just go rig t around t e edge of t e flange. 'll be clicking on these endpoints as I go around it.




. Then dr g out to th right and type 150. I''m not goin to click; I' going to just drag out and type 1 0 and press Enter. Fr m there slant up at 45 and t pe 150. D ag the mo se to the ri ght and type 150, co e back do n at 45 de rees for 15 , drag ove and click on the e d of that flange. Fro there click points right around t e edge of he second lange, click each corne and contin ing right o down to the center line again.

10. Press E ter to exit the polyline command. ext type E and press Enter for Erase. C oss throug h the lower part of the flanges an press E ter, and it'll leave only he polyline outline. This is going to become flame arre tor. It's going to beco e an in-line component that will have CAD orx intelligence and will end up as part of our specifications.

11. Now this will be ma e into a CADWorx co ponent. O the CADW rx Plant I ab there's a button here for Create . Click on i and the system open up a dialo box. This ill be used to define o r new sha e.

12. Under Name, type i FLAME_ ARRESTOR . When y u bring in new sha e like this, ou can bring in as a bl ck. So if y u have blocks already done, you can ad them to C DWorx, w ich we’ll show in he next vid o.




13. In this e ample, I’ll lick the do n arrow, a d click Sel ct Polyline. This is t e technique to use if yo ’re creatin an in-line omponent, which is symmetrical about a ce ter line. It orks very ell. You draw an outline an the system will build a new CAD orx object for you. So it's a gra phical method, and you don't have to do program ing to create a new C DWorx sha pe like this.

14. I’ll click Select, and then click n the poly ine. Then e should notice the prompt. I says, pick insertion points. Click n each end. The syst m then ask what kind of end cond tions and what kind of connecti ns do we ant to have on each end?

15. It starts ith the first end, and it rompts to et the end t pe at the connecti n point. I'll set it for fl anges . On he other end, it will be set for flanges, as well.

16. Other things can be et in this di log box, such as materials and densities. Under the weight, I'll enter 300. nder Desc iption, I'm going to type FLA E ARRES OR, MODEL 10-35B.




17. And the , finally, I c an set up how I want thi s to appear in ISOGEN. There's a whole separate set of videos and lessons on ho to work with Iso en, so just se what’s s own to ma e this work for this example. There are some files t at are store in the CA Worx fold r that are ull of ISOGEN reference informati n. (CADW rx\Plant\Is gen|Isogen Utils\)

18. One of them is called skeys.pdf. It's a PDF file and the name is skeys.pdf. It's under the plant, u der ISOGE N. It has illustrations of all the different skeys that Isoge can displa . These ske s can be assigned to different CADWorx objects.

19. There's ne in there that has a diamond sha e, and the skey to mak e this work is going t be FTFL. What that ill do is pr duce an Isogen s mbol for a flame trap ith flanges n each side. So we’ll use this alue. I’ve dded some illustrations showing w ere I found this for our referen e informati n.

Next click Pipe and press Enter to connect it automati ally, and d ag it out.

9. Press E ter, then s lect the obj ects, and p ess Enter. The syste will produce the ISOGEN Isometric. When we look at t, we can see it will have a nice gr aphic that re presents the Flame Arrestor. You c n see that it is piece m rked correctly. You ca also see th system included the bolts and gaskets.

Y u crea e a graphic, and then y u can store it within the system. T en, in a fe step , you can p oduce a ful y intelligen CADWorx component that knows how to connect o other co ponents an work well n ISOGEN. A lot of other systems invol e program ing. Some of them you have to do Visual Basic scr ipts to creat a component, which c n get quite involved. But CADWorx is really eas . If you can draw it, yo can, typic lly, get it crea ed as a CA Worx object. In the next vide , we're going to look at a more com plex shape. We're goin to look at one that is a 3D s ape with m ltiple conn ctions on it.

. On this 3D shape, the flanges ar 10 inch flanges. If I h ver over them, you can see that. These ar e set to exis ing.

. We'll create a user s ape out of this - a custom component. Click o the Cre te button, nd we'll go through so e steps to get this done.

The syste prompts or which di ection is this going to insert from Click on he end poi t of the fla nge centerli e and drag out away f om the object, and cli k . This indicates how conne tions are or iented, like gaskets and flanges.

. The syst m prompts what kind of end type i this conne tion? Clic Flanges . The first c nnection p int has bee defined.




. Next we’ll zoom an click the end point fo r the secon connectio n on the purple cente r line. The system pro pts for direction, and using ortho drag a ay from the object an click whe asked whi h type of end connect on should be used choose flanges .

. There’s ne more connection to pecify. Click on the e d of the top flange . rag straight up using ortho and lick . And 'm avoiding an extra osnap when it asks dire tion. I do not want to osnap on another omponent inadvertentl because it ould possi ly skew the orientati n. So just ome up aw y from the object with rtho on an click. T is connection will also be flanges . Press Ent er to finish the com and seque ce.

12. Close the Baffle_Box_Layout rawing without savin , since we don't wa t to change the drawin . When as ed to Save hanges, answer o.

This is useful, since over ime differe t people m y work on etting up specifications. If yo want consi tent quality and exactn ss to your specs, this is a good approach.

. The first thing we'll o is modif the compa y catalog. hen we'll s t up the long descriptions within a spec. I've reated a do ument for you to u e as a work sheet, which will get yo off to a good start. The file is part of the file s you downloaded as part of this les son. .

23. When you add rows to tables sometimes you’ll see a message that it already exists. This can be a problem if you want variations of it, with more than one entry (row) within the table. What you can do in that case is fill out one of the second or third fields along the row first, and then enter in the main value (like A106) in the first field. This is how you can get variations of the same material in your table (maybe you want an A106 Grade A and an A106 Grade B).

24. Clicking the headers lets you sort these tables in different ways. Sometimes that can help you find values in them easier. This is a good point to pause the video. Why don't you get your catalog set the way we've done in this lesson, and then we'll continue on after that.

. One issue with enter ing in a text string for a long descri tion is that t can change from per on to person. Each designer who creates specifications may a ter them sli htly based on his personal opinion . This can lead to inconsistency. In this newer version y u can build long des riptions by putting together a sequence of data fields from the table . Then the system will produce a consistent description fo you, bas d on what’ in the data files. It wil automatically fill in values, and you’ll end up with a good long description t at is consiste t in its for at. The wa you go ab ut doing this is really quite int resting.

. Click th box with ots in it top open a dialog box. Click the Down Arrow and we can t en see a lis of all the d ifferent tabl s that are available to us. If yo click one f these tabl s, you'll be able to see the field that are inside that table. What we'll be doing is bringing some of hese fields across and combining t em. The system will p t them on after the n xt into a str ng that wo ld fill out a d become our long description . And that' what will a ppear in ou bill of material .

10. Click on the first ta ble listed, click the firs t field and click the arrow that goes acr ss. This wi l give us th first item that begins our long des ription, an it's going t say Caps.

11. Where is shows the ormat, click after the fi ld name, ty e a comma, space, a d type S/. his will be a user string we’re addi g.




12. Click S hedule Ta les. Click he first fiel d and click the arrow to move it ver as part of the long escription. So the long description will now say CAPS, then whate er the sche ule value is.

13. In the format area, type a com a, and a s pace, and t en ASTM space.

14. Click t e arrow in he list of ta bles and cli k Material Tables. Click th second field listed. C ick the arr ow to add t at into the long des ription.

15. Click in he format box at the en of the stri g and add a space and GR spac . Click the arrow to br ng it in (lik you did fo the fields in the table – it works the same).

16. Click the third field in the Mater ials Tables (GRADE_ AT_TBL) and click the arrow to bring that across to be part of you long description.

17. And so everything s Descript on. Click strings ill work as for a lon descriptio specs.

19. Later if ou're doing a higher pr ssure spec, or a spec th t has exotic material in it, you ould be choosing those. This same long description sequence of fields and user strin s would work. It would just use these new v lues (differ nt Schedul s and Mate ials) your long des ription wo ld be automatically built.

3. Se Selec lectt P oject1 and the A20 spec. Set the size to 10 inches. Click Apply a d Close.

4. Click C P. Place i in your drawing, zoom in on it and double-cli k it.

5. Review the long des ription. It hould say AP, S/STD, ASTM A234 G WPB.
