uddha is the vision of Ultimate flowering. Buddha is the expression of the dimension beyond the known. This is the dimension of awareness – the Samadhi. Samadhi is expression on inner serenity. Buddha’s serenity is his awareness. Serenity is benediction. Serenity is Samadhi. Such serenity is knowing. Serenity is the expression of the dimensions beyond the known. His serenity is inner flowering. His serenity is the light of the being – the Buddha-Light or Chittopad. Buddha himself is the vision of Ultimate Samadhi.

There is a deep connectedness in life. This connectedness is the essence of the existence. You cannot live without trees, trees cannot live without you. When you inhale, you need oxygen; when you exhale, you exhale carbon dioxide. The tree does just the opposite: when it inhales, it takes in carbon Page 2

Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known dioxide; when it exhales, it exhales oxygen. Life is a harmonious whole. Everything is connected with everything else. The smallest leaf of grass is connected to the farthest star, a star you cannot see. Harming a small grass flower, you are harming the whole existence, because nothing is separate. Such inter connectedness is the beginning of awakening. This is your buddha nature. ‘Soon I will not be here either. And remember, I would like to remind my disciples especially: if you really love me, when I am gone I will direct you to people who will be still alive. So don’t be afraid of that. If I send you to Tibet or if I send you to China or if I send you to Japan or to Iran go. And don’t say that because you belong to me you cannot belong to another real Master. Just look in the eyes and you will find my eyes again. The body will not be the same but the eyes will be the same. If your journey is not complete with me while I am here, if something is still to be done, completed, then don’t be afraid. By dropping me you will not be betraying me. In fact, by not dropping me and by not following the real, the alive Master, you will be betraying me. Keep it in mind. Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known One day Buddha went to the village Panchsala for alms. This was the village of Brahmans. Mara instigated the inhabitants not to give any alms to Buddha. It was the village of Brahmans, remember, also it was dangerous. All Pundits consider themselves wise. Whenever someone attains to Buddhahood it is the Pundit clan that rejects this flowering first. Those who gave the ruling for crucifixion were priests and high priests. Also the head priest of the temple of Jerusalem was also involved in the conspiracy. The council of priests and the Jews Priests has unanimously decided that this man – Jesus is dangerous and needed to be killed. Pundit is always for Knowledge not for wisdom. This needs to be understood. Knowledge is the shadow of wisdom. Knowledge is memory. And wisdom is awakening. The truth is that Pundit should aspire for awakening and thus wisdom. However in reality he is against awakening and the awakened ones.

If Buddha is the embodiment of truth and awakening then Pundit proves to be fake and so is his understanding. His knowledge is memory based. It is memorized from scriptures and it is repetitive. Buddha has discovered it deep within him. The wisdom, understanding understand ing and knowing is Buddha’s consciousness. He is inside his consciousness. He is deep inside the womb of the being. And Pundit is standing on the shore of the being thinking that he knows everything. This is parrot repetition. He repeats the words in the Page 4

Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known name of tradition. Buddha is the essence of an inner awakening. His flowering its beauty, fragrance and words are the scripture. He quotes no scriptures instead whatever overflows becomes scriptural. The Pundit considers the scriptural knowledge as real knowledge. He knows nothing beyond the known. Buddha is the dimension beyond the known. Seeking and being this dimension is the essence of your life. Therefore seek your essence. Only then inner spring comes and flowering begins. Know this as:

As Dhammo sanantano!

Therefore the first thing to remember is that was the village of Pundits – the dimension of the known. Only Brahmans lived there. And there was any non-brahman living in that village – maybe he would have shown compassion and given alms to Buddha. No compassion can be expected for a man of awakening – the buddha. When the falsehood faces the truth it fades away because truth is the light of a thousand suns and falsehood is a flickering lamp. When sun of inner awakening is there is no need of flickering lamp that can be blown by the winds. However winds cannot affect the Page 5

Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known incandescence of inner awakening. And if the false coin gets angry seeing the real coin it is natural and not surprising at all. False coins are myriad. Therefore it is natural for false coins to stand collectively against the real – not surprising. All false coins conspire to destroy the real. Again this is not surprising. False coins are the embodiment of darkness. Their flickering light works only in the darkness like a mirage. And the second s econd thing to remember is that Jesus Jes us said even Devil quotes the scriptures. Therefore if Mara – the Buddhist concept of devil has beguiled all the Pundits it is no surprise. Indeed Devil is most learned scholar. Probably you may not be aware that according to Christianity Devil is an Angel – the most learned one. And when God created man He asked Devil to vow to man as man was in the image of god but Devil refused to vow. As a result of defying Devil was expelled by God from the heaven. This is Christian belief. He was ready to argue even with God. Christian and Islamic scriptures say one cannot vow to next man and more so an angel cannot vow to man even if God said so – devil argued and defied God. May be he was a great scholar and knowledgeable in scriptures. May be he was priest like in his knowledge. Devil always speaks of scriptures and quotes scriptural injunctions. As a result Devil is always in harmony with those who speak the language of scriptures. And all priests are in the service of Devil. Temples are made in the name of God but only Devil is worshipped. Purohit prepares the Aarti platter but the aarti is done to the devil.

Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known The story continues: Buddha entered this village for alms. Mara – Devil cast his spell that no one gave alms to Buddha. Such is every day happening. And then one laments for a buddha for eons. Only disrespect comes their way from us. Then we lament for centuries and adore buddhas. Such adoration cannot wipe the disrespect. Indeed it is not the disrespect of buddhas instead it is your own disrespect. This is disrespecting your buddha nature and denial of all possibilities of awakening and inner blossoming. And then when Buddha would have come out of the village with empty almsbowl Mara would have certainly come to mock Buddha that he did not get any alms in the village. Try to understand the symbols of this story. I call this story because story is not true because it is story and at the same time it points towards something greater. The story brings the message of the unknown in symbols. There is no one like devil outside. Human mind is devil. Probably the thought would have floated on his inner sky. What is the use of all this awareness, Samadhi and Enlightenment and these ignorant ones did not give alms. May be these were sinners who acted this way. There is no devil standing outside. It is not so. Indeed human mind is devil like. Ego is the shadow of devil inside. Probably devil may have tried to instigate Buddha to curse these people. May be these people are not worth calling humans. This is how devil works inside at the level of the mind.

The same devil is inside those inhabitants as well. The same devil would have instigated them saying Buddha is coming. He is quack and considers himself awakened. He comes from a warrior clan and thinks himself a man of wisdom. Firstly this man is not Brahmin. Second he does not accept Veda. Third he does not accept or follow any rituals. And last he declares that whatever he has attained no one has ever attained. He has attained to Samadhi. This all is indication of ego and useless. He is there to hypnotize and swerve people from religion. Do not give alms to this man. Giving alms to such a man is sin. He will survive on your alms and will continue to stray people from the path of religion. If you give alms to this man that will mean that you are part of his conspiracy. It is important for him to know that he is not welcome here. Such disrespect is justified. Such are the ways of human mind. And the same devil would have spoken within Buddha as well. Mind is the conditioning of the society. It always tries to take you in wrong direction. Mind is always entices mind outwardly. Mind is the gateway to the world. Mind would have tried to convince Buddha, you have attained to Buddhahood and you could not even get alms. What is the use of enlightenment then? Mind is utilitarian. Buddha replied, indeed I did not get alms. You succeeded and I too succeeded. Mara could not understand this. Mind is logical and it can understand logic. However anything beyond logic mind is incapable to comprehend. Unless you go beyond logic you will not attain to the state beyond mind. Indeed going beyond mind, its logic and conditioning is trust.

When Buddha said I succeeded and you too; and both of us are happy devil could not understand. When Buddha did not get any alms he was not perturbed. Devil enquired how that could be possible. In reality either you can succeed or me. Mind can never accept or understand that both succeed. Certainly there are moments when both possibilities succeed. When there is awakening then each circumstance becomes door to beyond and you not loose either way. The secret of such understanding is the essence of this story.

Buddha did not say anything. However such logic is no ordinary one. Indeed it is beyond logic. The logic is straight. It is clear you succeeded in drifting the people from the path. This is your work. You succeeded in your effort. It is a matter to rejoice for you. People followed you. And I succeeded because I remained unaffected of the insult. Insult could have been heavy but my awakening and understanding did not leave a single scar on my consciousness. I too succeeded in remaining untouched of the insult. Just imagine the son of a king who had all prosperity and who could feed thousands of beggars daily today entered the village of the beggars – Brahman. A king is begging in the village of beggars and look at the situation they all sent him back empty handed. It must have pained.

However Buddha said that he remained unaffected and that is why I succeeded. And you have given birth to a moment of good fortune. Such is a moment of knowing your inner awakening or state of your innerness. Food nourishes the body – the outer. However remaining unaffected of this has been a matter of rejoice for the being. This I call opening of inner vision. When you have inner vision vis ion it converts the darkness into light, thorns into flowers, poison into nectar, and sickness into panacea. And when you do not have the eye of wisdom nectar turns into poison and flowers become thorns. It is all the matter of vision and your understanding. Mara would have asked Buddha to reenter because devil – mind cannot understand the ways of no-mind. That which is beyond mind cannot be comprehended. Buddha did not get angry in the first instance and there is is no sign of anger reflected through you. And if Buddha had been angry over the behavior of the inhabitants the effect of Mara will begin. Anger breeds in negativities. Mara tried to convince Buddha to enter the village a second time. Mara had trust in the Brahmans who are bound to deny alms as many time he may enter. However he was w as experimenting with Buddha. Mara tried to convince Buddha in every possible way – may be this time he may get the alms. Mara could not see the innerness of Buddha overflowing Page 11

Buddha-hood Dimension beyond the known bliss. Mind can only understand the language of misery and unhappiness. Bliss lies beyond the mind. For a Buddha the moment gone is forgotten. He never laments for that which is not. That which did not happen was not to happen and that which happened was to happen. Buddha is in harmony with all that is or is happening. Repetition is not the way of Buddhas. Buddha always enters the new space afresh and renewed. This is living life moment to moment.

This very moment is precious. This alone exists and is truth. Live this moment without any obstruction, resistance, fear or greed of future, without repeating the past, and without getting entangled in the imaginations. And when free from all this you live each moment fresh in your youthfulness then you attain to an innocence and simplicity. This innocence and simplicity I call Divinity. According to me God is not the one who created the entire creation. Instead you give birth to him in your totality, living life without saving even an iota of energy and when each moment becomes a celebration a dance and life becomes a festival of light. And that is all. Each moment is precious. A moment gone never returns! It is gone forever. Never live for any goal. Life is not a goal instead it is journey – a rivering a flow, a celebration, and a flowering.

Life’s journey is unique… Seen is deceiving – never to be trusted Seen is deceiving – never to be trusted Listen therefore my friend Doubt of friendship leads to enmity Never allow it to make home within w ithin you Or else you may have to suffer in remembrance! Life’s journey…

Stop them… them… Do not let them leave upset Stop them Once time gone – is gone never to return A thousand messages of love then are meaningless! Life’s journey…
