: POWER AC:
An air-conditioning system which enables the conditions inside to be maintained can be explained as a series of cycles:1. The Refrigeration Cycle. 2. The Air cycle. 3. The cooling water cycle.
UNDERGROUND CABLES:
::
All the insulated conductors compactly arranged in pairs, units and super units constitute core of the cable :
As the presence presence of moisture deteriorate the quality of insulation of the telecom cables, moisture barrier protects entry moisture into the core of the cable. ::
Telecom cables require Protection o
from probable mechanical damages
o
from water and chemicals or soil conditions

DWDM:
The emergence of DWDM is one of the most recent and important phenomena in the development of fiber optic transmission technology. Dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) revolutionized transmission technology by increasing the capacity signal of embedded fiber. The existing SONET/SDH network architecture is best suited for voice traffic rather than today’s high-speed data traffic. To upgrade the system to handle this kind of traffic is very expensive and hence the need for the development of an intelligent all-optical network. Such a network will bring intelligence and scalability to the optical domain by combining the intelligence and functional capability of SONET/SDH, the tremendous bandwidth of DWDM and innovative networking software to spawn a variety of optical transport,

FUNDAMENTALS OF SWITCHING:
When electronic devices were introduced in the switching systems, a new concept of switching evolved as a consequence of their extremely high operating speed compared to their former counter-parts, i.e., the Electromechanical systems, Relays, the logic elements in the electromechanical electromechanical systems, have operate and release times which are roughly equal to the duration of telephone signals to maintain required accuracy. FUNDAMENTALS OF TRANSMISSION:
The study of transmission units has a unique importance for communication engineer who has to maintain and install telecommunication equipments achieving the standards set up by international consultation committees. committees.
In order to control the quality of wanted signal in the presence of many undesired signals, we should be able to specify the amount of wanted and unwanted signals at a point in the telecommunications telecommunications network. GSM:
The GSM Cellular network includes a state of art billing and customer care system supporting several customer friendly features. The Network is identified as local access in the entire licensed service area as against the SDCA based local area. The components of the Mobile Billing have different elements like airtime charges, roaming charges, messaging charges, and value added service charges apart from PSTN charges for inter network traffic.
