The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuß Nichteisenmetalle (Nonferrous Metals Standards Committee), Technical Committee Alum iniu m-Gu ßleg ieru nge ngen n. For ease of reference, a National Annex is provided overleaf in which the material grades specified in European Standards are correlated with those previously used in Germany. Ame ndm ndment ents s DIN 1725-2 and DIN 1725-2 Suppl 1, February 1986 editions, have been superseded by the specifications of EN 1706.
