1 Bhavat-Bhavam and
the Modern Interpretation of Nakshatras
by Janos Tamas Melocco (Kartikeya), Vedic astrologer (Budapest, Hungary)
The aim o the present article is to e!plain the direct direct use o Vedic Vedic nakshatras in chart interpretation and transits on a basis slightly di"erent rom the usual ones encoded in symbols, deities and other attributes, though deeply in harmony #ith those$ % belie&e that using nakshatras actively (as (as in neo'Vedic astrology) gains tremendously rom the application o this element moreo&er, that this #ay o thinking about nakshatras is i s deeply encoded into the Vedic odiac itsel$ *dditionally, it might thro# a di"erent light upon interpreting Vimsottari +ashas (planetary periods)$ ike many disco&eries, this -nding has a history$ history$ My teacher o Vedic astrology at the time, Maria .som had been a practicing /estern karmic astrologer in Budapest$ 0n the inspiration o her oga master 2#ami3i Mahesh#arananda, she decided to e!periment #ith using Vedic astrology, then gradually s#itched o&er to using only %ndian charts, e4ual houses, and a sidereal odiac$ Maria became really intrigued by the nakshatras, these mysterious areas o the Hindu odiac, #hich constitute the basis o the Vimsottari dashas, dashas, a po#erul techni4ue o prediction #ithout e4ui&alent in /estern astrology$ astrology$ Her intuition #as that i the planetary periods 5 so undamental in Vedic prediction 5 are counted rom the nakshatra positions o the Moon at the time o birth, perhaps these obscure di&isions o the sky held the real secret o a -ner analysis o birth charts and transits in the %ndian #ay$ #ay$ 2tarting to study the classic publications about nakshatras by +a&id 6ra#ley and +ennis Harness, she #as trying to relate the mythological and other properties p roperties to the Vedic charts o clients, riends and amous people$ 2tudying ga&e rise to a piece o inspiration7 at -rst, you need to 8translate9 the basics o nakshatras to the language o /estern astrologers 5 planets in signs$ Then :ur&a :halguni could be understood as similar to a eo Venus, Bharani to an *ries Venus and so on$ Kno#ing ho# lordship has much more signi-cance in the e4ual house system o Vedic astrology, Maria began to correlate the nakshatras to the signs ruled by the nakshatra rulers, gaining rulers, gaining additional inormation rom the position o these signs counted rom the sign #here the nakshatra is i s ound$ Basically, she #as applying the bhavat bhavam principle bhavam principle 5 counting a house rom a house 5 reasoning that i Venus;s o#n signs (Taurus and ibra) are the third and tenth houses rom eo (#here :ur&a :halguni is ound), :ur&a :halguni should display a general meaning that deri&es rom ha&ing a nakshatra ruler #hich is a third house lord and a tenth house lord$ lord $ The third house, among other things, reers to e!pression (noted in the charts o amous entertainers), communication, tests and trials, #hile the tenth house reers mainly to proession and occupation in the Vedic analysis$ eo is a sign o sel'e!pression sel'e!pression and leadership, #hile Venus (2hukra) is the patron o arts, thereore :ur&a :halguni could be ma rked in the charts o people #ho use Venusian energy professionally, professionally, for example e xample in the arts – music, even psychology, television or marketing$ marketing $ Venus is the ruler o Taurus, the second sign, thus it is a karaka o money and enterprises in the 8natural 8natural horoscope9 (the %ndian term or the parallel bet#een be t#een houses and signs)$ The third house bears a parallel to
= among its themes, so TV personalities and business persons could also re4uently ha&e planets or *scendant (agna) there$ %n contrast, counting rom the Venusian nakshatra o *ries (Bharani), Venus;s o#n signs, Taurus and ibra all to the second and the seventh houses$ That means Bharani 5 no matter #hat planet #e ha&e in it 5 #ould display second'house themes (possessions, &alues and attraction) and also se&enth' house themes (e$g$ relationships, se!)$ Thus Bharani relates to relationships, se!, and possessions, money etc$ ar more than :ur&a :halguni #hich tends to emphasie a proessional and communicati&e use o Venusian energy (1> th and ?rd house are Venus'ruled rom eo)$ 2o the di"erence bet#een these t#o nakshatras 5 on top o the di"erence bet#een the themes o the t#o -re signs housing them 5 #ould basically be a di"erence bet#een a eo Venus area #ith Venus;s signs being in the ? rd and 1>th house and an *ries Venus area #ith Venus;s signs being in the = nd house and the @ th house rom the home sign$ /e started to study this insight methodically #ith the Budapest group o basic Vedic astrology students gathered around Maria .som around the turn o the millennium, and #ent through the #hole circle o signs and nakshatras #ith &arious planets in them, trying to correlate the bhavat bhavam characteristics o nakshatras and came up #ith ar more nuances in the case o oursel&es, riends, relati&es, amous people and the charts o clients$ *nd in e&ery case, #e ound that the bhavat bhavam e!planation o nakshatras bore additional ruits o interpretation, and that these #ere &ery much in harmony #ith the original intent coded into the odiac o %ndia, noting also the traditional symbols, deities as #ell as the male'emale characteristics, and other classi-cations, or e!ample the AakshasaManushya+e&ic classi-cation (#hich can be roughly translated as acti&e and aggressi&e people'centered or passi&e and idea'centered)$ The parallels o the 8natural horoscope9 help interpret the &arious numbers #here the nakshatra ruler could ha&e its sign(s)$ The si!th house could signiy sickness and healing, enemies and karma yoga$ Thinking about it as a parallel to the sixth sign, Virgo, helps e!plain #hy it is useul to integrate the /estern idea o the si!th house being a house o #ork, along #ith the traditional tenth house o #ork in Vedic astrology, #hich is parallel to the tenth sign, .apricorn$ %t i s the main house o #ork and occupation, ho#e&er, it does not carry the additional meaning o enemies, sickness and healing$
1. Nakshatras of the Nodes; Dashas and Nakshatras Co# #e can begin to describe some additional characteristics o nakshatras based on the bhavat-bhavam logic$ Cotice that in the picture, % colored the signs ruled by the same planet as the nakshatras they rule$ *ll nakshatras are arranged in trines, that is, the same se4uence o nine rulers repeats itsel three times$ The nakshatras o#ned by Aahu and Ketu are less interesting rom the point o &ie# o this article, because no sign is o#ned by either o the shado#y planets$ %n a birth chart, you #ould relate them to the natal placement o Aahu and Ketu$ D!perimentally, one could still count the houses rom a Aahu nakshatra to the placement o Aahu in the chart, though$ * e# points still turn up in analysis, ho#e&er$ 2o let us 4uickly sum up #hat #e can say about nakshatras ruled by Aahu or Ketu$
? The nodes are both enemies o the 2un and the Moon$ .oded into legend, this is because it #as the t#o luminaries that betrayed the stealing o the amrita by the demon cut into t#o by Vishnu;s disk$ (They remained immortal, though, ha&ing already had a sip o the amrita o immortality)$ This myth con&eys a practical piece o inormation or Vedic astrologers7 The 2un and the Moon su"er #hen being aEicted by the male-c aspect o either Aahu or Ketu, and by e!tension, they #ill su"er in the nakshatras o Aahu or Ketu$ %n my e!perience, Ketu nakshatras are more diFcult or a Moon placement Aahu nakshatras are more diFcult or a 2un placement, but naturally, this is urther re-ned by the aspects and the lordships o the particular chart$ Mula could be the hardest o all three Ketu'nakshatras or the Moon, since the Moon’s own sign – Cancer – is eight houses away from agittarius$ (This is also bhavat bhavam thinking 5 applied to another le&el, #hen #e place a planet in the nakshatra$ *t this point % think it is indispensable to use a graphic representation to be able to count 8houses9 (or signs really, in this case)$ 2o here it goes7
G
* Ketu nakshatra placement or the Moon additionally means that the nati&e;s lie #ould start in Ketu dasha, #hich is a separating and re4uently other#orldly inIuence 5 not easy or a child$ ou could say people #ith a Moon in a Ketu nakshatra arri&es into physical lie ully only ater Ketu dasha is o&er, #hen the subse4uent Venus dasha starts$ iterature states that the Moon in the same sign as Ketu could lead to the loss o the mother$ %n modern society, % -nd this is not necessarily so direct rather, the nati&e;s mother can be a more masculine, tough person, or someone #ho su"ers hardships, or that the mother'child relationship is some#hat disturbed by other actors$ %t is #orst, ho#e&er, #hen the Ketu period deri&es rom the Moon being in Mula (2agittarius)$ Because the Moon;s sign being eight houses rom 2agittarius, #hat #e re4uently see is that the nati&e;s mother has undergone a painful loss or separation which has an indirect impact on the early life of the native! *s#ini Moon is also placed in a Ketu nakshatra, but an *s#ini Moon nati&e can ha&e a strong mother 5 unless other aspects spoil that$ The sign o .ancer is our houses a#ay rom such a Moon, hence amily lie is all'important or the mother$ /ith Magha, .ancer alls into the 1=th house, #hich could among other things reer to the nati&e;s ormer lie #ith the mother, a meditati&e lie or a stay in a con-ned situation 5 or other 1= th house signi-cations$ Moon in a Aahu nakshatra means a diFcult childhood #hile Aahu dasha lasts 5 it is more appropriate or Aahu dasha to start in adulthood #hen you are constantly gro#ing and changing yoursel, ne&er reaping the results$ 6or a nati&e #ith a Moon in Aahu nakshatra, ho#e&er, lie #ill start #ith the remaining portion o Aahu dasha (counted proportionally rom ho# much the Moon has co&ered out o the gi&en Aahu nakshatra at the moment o the -rst breath)$ Aahu dasha can be brutal, hard and shocking to a child$ Co #onder traditional Vedic te!ts say Aahu is rough, male-c and brutal, and points at obsessions and sudden changes 5 though the e!planation o more mystical astrologers (more in the /est than in modern %ndia) is that Ketu points at ormer li&es and Aahu points to#ards uture li&es the nati&e;s soul #ishes to e!perience in the uture$ The themes o the three Aahu nakshatras are di"erent, though7 2#ati Moon (in ibra) #ould sho# that the mother (and by e!tension, the ather) ha&e ma3or relationship troubles, di&orce, cheating etc$ *rdra Moon (
the nati&e and that they may also point at uture de&elopment in themes o reincarnation$ This gi&es the reader a taste that Vimsottari +ashas can also be interpreted as periods o planets counted rom the Moon;s nakshatra, in addition to the standard interpretation based upon the ruling planet;s placement in the rashi, aspects etc$ My o#n chart has a 2#ati Moon (Aahu nakshatra in the sign o relationships)$ Thus the act that % started my lie in a Aahu period 5 #hich #ent on until % #as se&en and a hal 5 really means that " was living through a wati period, not a atabhisha period or an #rdra period! The modern Vedic analysis o a planetary period #ould -rst look at the placement o the ruling planet, yet % eel the three di"erent nakshatras o all the nine planets (including the nodes) are di"erent, due to the three di"erent signs o the nakshatras counted rom the Moon$ 2ince Aahu and Ketu thro# trikona aspects (1, and 5 plus some say a @th), the inIuence o their nakshatras can be more mi!ed than those o three nakshatras o other planets, or e!ample those o Venus or 2aturn, #hich as planets do not thro# trikona aspects$ My second planetary period #as Jupiter, and the second nakshatra rom my natal Moon is Vishakha, not :ur&a Bhadra or :unar&asu$ These are subtle di"erences, but #hen % arri&ed at my 2aturn dasha at the age o =? (the third nakshatra rom my natal Moon), that #as markedly a 2aturn dasha #ith an *nuradha Ia&or, not Lttara Bhadra or :ushya (the other t#o 2aturn nakshatras)$ *nuradha oten in&ol&es mo&es abroad, tra&els or dislocation on a bhavat bhavam basis (see later)$ My -rst #ie and % let my nati&e country e!actly in the hour o the starting o the 1'year'long *nuradha dasha, and % did not return to Hungary until more than a decade later (she still li&es abroad)$ The nakshatra o *nuradha #ould all into my se&enth house (my 2#ati Moon is in my si!th) and % let with her 5 though % ha&e no planets in my se&enth$ Co doubt there are other actors traditionally e!plaining this sudden change 5 % had my 2ade 2ati going during that time, #hich transit made the starting o my 2aturn dasha all'po#erul$ The &ery -rst time in my lie #hen % had a reading #ith a $yotish pandit , he told me the month #hen % let my home country or a long stay abroad$ %rihat &arashara 'ora hastra (B:H2) also has the interpretation (actually, an unlucky one rom the point o &ie# o Vedic astrology) that i 2aturn dasha starts and 2aturn is #eak, eclipsed or ound in the eighth or t#elth house, the nati&e could go to li&e in a di"erent country 5 the #orse 2aturn is o", the sooner it happens in the dasha$ (*pparently, the pandits ruled that my 2aturn #as catastrophic 5 and they did consult the B:H2 or a short #hile)$ My 2aturn is combusted by the 2un in the eighth, and 2un rules the ourth house$ But all this understanding #ould come easier i #e suppose that i % start my lie #ith wati dasha, Vishakha mahadasha #as my ne!t one (Jupiter), and #nuradha mahadasha #as the third one (2aturn)$ % #e take the bhavat bhavam logic, and translate the basic meaning o the area kno#n as *nuradha, it #ill be similar to a 2corpio 2aturn #hich rules the third and ourth houses rom itsel (.apricorn and *4uarius)$ That means a changing o mental constitution 5 thought and communication 5 as #ell as the unconscious mind and emotions 5 the ourth house 5, and possibly the relationship o the t#o as #ell$ %t is the ourth house placement #hich signi-es the theme o mo&ing and dislocation or *nuradha, sometimes o&erseas (#ater sign)$ My eldest daughter 5 born in *merica #ith a 2corpio Moon 5 has an *nuradha Moon, so her lie started in 2aturn dasha$ *n *nuradha Moon re4uently in&ol&es mo&es, e&en abroad, long
@ 3ourneys, dislocation and a sense o being alien to the en&ironment$ 2he li&ed her lie like going to school or a e# years in *merica, then in Hungary again, and the s#itch #as repeated many times o&er$ % ha&e seen great &oyagers and geographical disco&erers #ith *nuradha placements$ *s or the Moon itsel, all 2corpio Moons % ha&e seen so ar #ere spiritual in some #ay, because by bhavat bhavam, the Moon stands there as the ruler o the ninth sign (and the ninth house is, among other things, spirituality and philosophy)$ 2o my assertion is that despite the fact that my natal aturn is not even near #nuradha (it is in Lttara 2hadha nakshatra, 2agittarius, combust by the 2un, at the last degrees o my eighth house), my aturn period was really an #nuradha period, since it is the ne!t one ater 2#ati and :unar&asu$ The bhavat bhavam interpretation adds a urther element to my story7 Kornelia and % had 3ust married beore #e let, and % eel % perhaps #ould not ha&e made the -nal decision to lea&e my nati&e country #ithout her inspiring and supporting me all the #ay$ et me repeat the point that *nuradha is ound in my seventh house (#hich is other#ise empty)$ %t #ould be #ise to look at the nati&e;s mahadashas as all relating to the nakshatras ollo#ing hisher Moon, e!perimenting #hether the mahadashas really ha&e these particular nakshatra Ia&or, and 5 perhaps in a uture sot#are 5 e&en name the dashas and bhuktis and so on by the nakshatra names$ %t has #orked me in e&ery case and yielded ne# insights, especially ater % considered the bha&at bha&am characteristics o the &arious nakshatras$ % could e&en say that proportionality can also be applied$ The -rst three 4uarters (padas) o Vishakha dasha #ould in time make 1= years o my Jupiter dasha (my second mahadasha rom age @1= to =? 1=5 #ere markedly di"erent than the last our years, because the last pada o Vishakha alls into 2corpio$ % ell into an intense sel'searching period during the last years o Jupiter (Vishakha), #ith psychology, strongly emotional themes, and % gradually lost touch #ith the #orld around me, transorming, and to#ards the end, % started to orm the idea o mo&ing abroad as a result, #hich % did in the &ery hour #hen *nuradha dasha kicked in$ These &ery days, #hen 2aturn #as transiting through *nuradha, an unprecedented #a&e o migration started in the #orld, #ith people trying to escape rom the Middle Dast #ar$ % you place a planet #ith a more speci-c aspect pattern into a nakshatra, or e!ample, Mars, you #ould also ha&e to add its o#n :arashari aspects to the standard e!planation$ Mars thro#s drishtis at the 1st, Gth, @th and the th sign rom itsel$ This is the third le&el o interpreting a planet in a nakshatra, #hich colors the undamental characteristics o the sign and the planet, plus the bhavat bhavam nakshatra themes$ ou could also look at #hich houses the planet itsel rules, and those apply at a di"erent le&el$ 2o placing a planet in a nakshatra is actually a comple! task 5 % already e!perimented #ith going through the traditional interpretations o planets in signs in (yotish and % could e!plain e&ery #ord 4uoted rom the classics by bhavat bhavam and aspects$ et me add all this up7 i you ha&e Mars in :ur&a :halguni, you #ould -rst ha&e to account or the nature and the themes o eo, those o the -re element (in e!cess because Mars is also -ery), and the riendship o Mars and 2un$ That is the -rst le&el$ Then you #ould see that Venus, the nakshatra ruler is the o#ner o the ?rd and 1>th houses rom eo, so you #ould ha&e strong career and communications meanings or this Mars, and possibly troubles #ith younger
siblings$ 6inally, you #ould add that a eo Mars #ould directly aspect the signs o 2corpio, *4uarius and :isces$ That is #here its attention turns$ % guess a eo Mars person #ould be more than ready to use computers and other inno&ations, and #ould like dri&ing a car, because o Mars;s aspect on *4uarius$ To analye all that #ould go ar beyond the scope o this article, so let us restrict oursel&es to those meanings that are deri&ed rom the bhavat bhavam relationships o the nakshatras #ithout planets in them$ 0ne last remark is that this #ay #e really ha&e to e!amine ? nakshatra areas in the entire Hindu odiac, since the bhavat bhavam counting #ill di"er, say, rom the Taurus portion o Krittika nakshatra than rom the *ries portion o the same$ There are nine nakshatras di&ided bet#een signs and those parts really beha&e di"erently though there are common themes$ (2ince there are our parts o each nakshatra, pointing to a di"erent navamsha sign (the padas o nakshatras), the Hindu odiac really consists o 1> parts 5 #hich is not a coincidence$ .hanting mantras 1> times #ould address the mantra to e&ery small portion o the starry sky o %ndia in your birth chartN) The second part #ill e!amine the main house connections o each nakshatra ruler planet (#e co&ered Aahu and Ketu) rom the point o &ie# o bhavat bhavam, mentioning 3ust a e# speci-c e!amples in each case$
2. Bhavat Bhavam Themes in the Nakshatras of Venus The three nakshatras ruled by Venus are ound in the middle o -re signs7 Bharani in *ries, :ur&a :halguni in eo and :ur&a 2hadha in 2agittarius$ 6or the sake o completeness, % repeat #hat % said in my starting e!ample7 Venus is the ruler o the second sign (Taurus) and the se&enth sign (ibra) rom *ries, thus the themes o Bharani #ill be, or e!ample, money and se!, and holding on to relationships, plus important relationships #ith #omen (or both genders)$ Taurus is doubly signi-cant here because it is both the second sign and the second house rom *ries at the same time, #hile it is simply the most earthbound and sensual o all signs, relating to eating, gardens, possessions, money, beauty, diets and cosmetics$ The second house in a chart #ould also signiy speech and teeth$ Bharani is #iring is diFcult, because *ries means independence and spontaneity, #hile the nakshatra ruler Venus emphasies relationships, and it o#ns the se&enth house$ Thus Bharani placements could lead to &iolent s#ings bet#een being dependent on relationships and indi&idual spontaneity$ % ound that the possessions o Bharani people can Iuctuate depending on #hether they ha&e a good partner or #ithout one (Bharani is romantic but passionate 5 it is in the cardinal -re sign o Mars)$ That is to say, Mars as sel'#ill and Venus as relationships (the theme o ibra, an air sign, is ad3usting to another person) are mi!ed here and they are in a constant seesa#$ Venus #ants you to adapt to your partner and make compromises, #hile Mars as the sign ruler #ould #ant you to go ahead and do #hat thou #ilt and conorm to no one$ :ur&a :halguni, in contrast to Bharani, has the Venusian signs in the third house (ibra) and the tenth house (Taurus) rom itsel$ Thus it signi-es a more proessional aspect o Venus, such as being a proessional artist, entertainer, or leadership #ith style$ 2ince the third house can be communications and its parallel sign in the 8natural horoscope,9
chisels things in himsel or hersel, #hich can actually be &alued in the present, e&en sold as a ser&ice or a talent$ eo reers to the eternal 8no#9 5 its ruler, the 2un is the karaka o the Higher 2el, or *tma$ :ur&a 2hadha naturally relates to the 2agittarian -re o religion, ideals and idealism$ 2ince Venus (the nakshatra lord) and Jupiter (the sign lord) are enemies in Vedic astrology, this idealistic nakshatra again con&eys a sel'contradiction7 Venus rules the present #hile Jupiter is the uture$ Venus is the material #orld and your desires, #hile Jupiter is the celestial
3. Bhavat Bhavam Themes in the Nakshatras the Sun The ne!t nakshatras are solar7 Krittika in *ries and Taurus Lttara :halguni in eo and Virgo, and Lttara 2hadha in 2agittarius and .apricorn$ The 2un;s o#n sign, eo is the -th house rom *ries, #hile the 2un means ather and rulership among other things$ The combination o 2un and Mars (the sign lord) leads to e!cessi&e -re, thus #hile there is a challenge to -nd personal po#er and creati&ity, the ather;s authority could be oppressi&e and po#er in general can be problematic$ 2ometimes the placement in *ries Krittika is more positi&e as ar as -nding po#er, leadership and the attitudes o authority -gures$ 2aturn #ould be a tragically bad position here, in the last degrees o its debilitation sign$ Ha&ing children is a positi&e inIuence because o the -th house connection a male o"spring is particularly good in a karmic #ay$ % ha&e seen &ery critical and -ery people #ith *ries Krittika placements act &ery nicely #ith their sons (#hile their daughters can also be &ery creati&e and some#hat masculine)$ The second part o Krittika is in the cardinal Darth sign o Taurus this is #here the Moon is e!alted according to Vedic tradition 5 and the un’s own sign falls to the fourth house from there$ Thus the real &alue (Taurus) or this second
1> part o Krittika is hisher amily and home 5 adding it all up, it is a bread#inner;s role (sometimes alone, #hether the nati&e is male or emale), and that o someone #ho #ould deend their children (or their creati&e results) at all costs$ % #ould say partner relationships are not easy or Taurus signi-cations since the se&enth house is 2corpio 5 meaning change or destroy7 di&orce is re4uent, especially ater the 2aturn round o = years$ %n all o Krittika, #hen the 2un;s position is #eak, the nati&e;s ather can actually blackmail the nati&e by #ithholding amily property, money, po#er connections, or 3ust doling them out piecemeal$ The eo part o Lttara :halguni is one o the t#o small areas (amounting to a 4uarter nakshatra) in the entire odiac #here the nakshatra ruler (the 2un) is the same as the sign ruler$ %n these cases, the bhavat bhavam number is 1$ Caturally, such a position can be about absolute leadership and the ather;s e!ample is &ery positi&e here 5 #hether he is the head o a company or that o a country or a amous person$ 2ince the se&enth house rom eo belongs to 2aturn, and because #e can say the 2un as a planet truly has a shado#, the person may ha&e a karmic debt to#ards a community #hich he or she #orks on by being a leader o a di"erent style$ The Virgo part #ill, ho#e&er, ha&e the 2un;s sign in the 1= th house rom itsel$ *side rom emphasiing Virgo roles such as science, healing, being methodical, learning and ser&ice, #e could note that there is an important and close pre&ious lie (it could be the &ery last one indeed) #here the nati&e e!perienced leadership and no# no longer #ants to be the leader, although he or she can be a really e!perienced #orker, indispensable at times$ % ha&e seen people gi&ing leadership coaching #ith this placement 5 ne&er ha&ing been company .D0;s themsel&es in this lie$ Their ather is an authority -gure$ % ha&e also seen many mo&ie actors and actresses #ith Virgo Lttara :halguni planets 5 #hich sho#s that doing mo&ies is hard and methodical #ork #hich re4uires special tenacity plus detailed, precise operation in the material #orld, and submission to the directors, script#riters and producers$ Virgo Lttara :halguni mo&ie actors sometimes direct mo&ies on their o#n, #hich sho#s they also ha&e leadership 4ualities$ The 2agittarius part o the solar nakshatra Lttara 2hadha #ill ha&e eo as the ninth house$ *n absolutely 2agittarian importance o a ather #ith &ery strong belies or ideals, #ho could be an important person or an inspiring leader in that ront$ :eople #ith planets like Jupiter or 2aturn here could themsel&es be 8religious leaders9 or pursue a respected therapeutic or esoteric position 5 or they ha&e been ones in the past (i this placement alls into the eighth or t#elth house)$ The .apricorn part o Lttara 2hadha is problematic or the nati&e both regarding the ather and authority in general, because bhavat bhavam #ould -nd the un’s sign eight houses away $ ou could say that both the nati&e;s sense o authority and their image o their ather are under transormation$ This area holds part o *bhi3it, considered as the = th nakshatra, playing a prominent part in the charts o saints, religious leaders and healers$ The nati&e could eel that he or she has to maniest those leadership 4ualities in an earthlier, practical and day' to'day manner$ % ha&e seen an e!ample #here the ather #as a company;s .D0, #hile his daughter, the nati&e #ith a .apricorn Lttara 2hadha 2un #as e!pressing her soul by doing one'to'one healing #ork$
