National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under und er the aegis of the Mini stry of Textile Textile s, Government of India. It has emerged as the p remier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.
NIFT has unique architectural aesthetics. It has employed the elements of design such as the basic shape in naming some part or buildings of the campus like the spiral of the staircase and oval for place near the library, in order to keep students always bonded with design.

Hostel is only provided for girls. There are no hostel facilities for boys.

Hostel will be provided for first year students only.
•
Accommodation is on shared basis. One room will be shared among three girls.
•
One bathroom will be provided for six girls.
•
One bed, one table, chair and one wardrobe will be provided for each girl.
•
Students are not allowed to use their personal electrical appliances in the hostel.

HOW TO REACH
FROM RAILWAY STATION AND MAJESTIC BUS STAND NIFT Bangalurur campus is approximately 15.5 km. from Bengaluru City Junction and Main Bus Stand – the Majestic Bus Stand ( Which is opposite to railway station). Prepaid Taxis and Autos are available from railway station. BMTC buses 340A and 340 M are available from Majestic Bus stand to NIFT directly . Bus no. 342, 342A, 340K is also available from Majestic bus stand to Agara. From Agara NIFT campus is 1.5 Km.
