Beeja & Kshetra Sphuta-The Astrological Sperm & Ovary
In our Vedic astrology system anaolgies of the male sperm and female ovaies have been defined that can be placed as longitudnal points in the chart. and then the influence of various benefic/ malefic etc can bee seen to test the potency of the astrological equivalent of sperm and the fertility of the astrological equivalent of ovary. This is how it works: 1) The Beeja Sphutha is Sphutha is literally the male seed ( call it the astrological equivalent of sperms) sphutha is literally the ground for sowing the seed ( the astrological equivalent of 2) The Kshetra sphutha is ovaries) 3) If the ground is barren, the strongest of seeds will struggle to nurture into a life form. If the seeds are weak.....they will struggle to nurture in the most fertile grounds. 4) Beeja is calculated for MALES by adding the longitudes ( absolute with signs and w.r.t Aries house-1) of Sun+Jupiter+Venus. Remove 360 or multiples of it...if the total is high till you get a number less than 360. 5) Place the Beeja ( derived longtiude) in the approrpaite Rashi. If i n an odd Rasi indicates natural strong potency....even Rasi indicates weakness. 6) Further ownership of Rasi, benefic conjucntions and aspects strengthen the beej and malefics weaken the beeja. 7) The kshetra sphuta is calculated for FEMALES by adding similarly absolute longitudes of Moon+Mars+Jupiter, removing 360 or multiples of it thereoff and placing in the appropriate sign. 8]If in an even sign indicates a naturally fertile woman. 9)If aspected or conjunct with benefics...fertility/ potency of Beeja and sphuta is enhanced. 10) Malefics ( Ra-Ke, Ma and Sat) are reportedly going to reduce the potency / fertility. My test cases show Ra-Ket probably are ge nerally adverse.....for Sat and Mar my suggestion is to look closely as to how good or bad they are overall in natives chart. In my read Mars's influence on Kshetra would indicate surgical processes for Kshetra and Shani will be delays for both beej and Kshetra. Instead of outright denials of conception especially if Ma and Sat are well placed in the chart.

Cancel Download And Print 12) The Beeja and Kshetra sphuta must be used in conjunction with the 5th house/ Jup-the-karak and D7 analysis as an addtional tool for indepth inidctaion and validation of fertility/ conception matters and not standalone. 13) Rasi chart is the best and first place to start......various commnentaries recommend repeating it i n Navamsa / and/ or Saptamsa. I am more inclined to look at it in saptamsa if time permits, although Rasi has generally been suificient to get additional indicators.
Lets look at an example woman, 3Sep,1970, 15:15 @ 72E37' and 23N02'; +5:30
Moon = 164deg 11' Mars= 126deg 41' Jup = 189deg 26' Kshetra Sphuta= summation of above = 480deg 17'- 360deg = 120deg17' --whihc means the kshetra sphuta gets planted at 0deg17' in Leo, conjunct with Sun and Ketu and in an odd sign...all indicators of low fertility. --She had polycystic ovaries, and concieved after several years of trying...throuhg IUI at a very late age of 35. --convenstional analysis shows 5th lord in Rasi Mars combust and conjunct with Ketu.... and Shani debilitated in the 5th house...further making conception and delivery difficult. she had complications and hospitalization during pregnancy--diabetes, on insulin, stunted growth of child and a complex surgey, prolonged post partum f ever and infections and stay at the hospital, burning her body literally with the amount of antibiotics injected into her. --Conception could ve been completely denied to her but for 2 reasons: 1) her husbands very strong chart w.r.t 5th house (lorded by Jupiter in his own house and a high amsabala) 2)and woman's own Venus is very very strong ( in own house in 11th and an amasabala of 6) indicating the robustness of internal female organs.

Kshetra Sphuta= 282deg36' --whihc means it gets planted in Capricorn @12deg36' --Even sign...but conjunct with Ketu afflictingthe fertility....and lorded by shani...indicating delays. --5th Lord Ma is in the 12th --difficulty in conception....several years of trying......the child was born premature and throuhg a complicated surgery with a twisted ( club foot). from man's chart Su= 171deg41' Jup= 72deg11' Ven=146deg03' Beej Sphuta =Su+jup+Ven = 389deg55'-360 = 29deg55' = Aries @ 29deg55' whihc is an ODD sign, implies the man has good potency. --lord of beeja sphuta Mars is conjunct with putrakarak and beneifc Jup.....ensuring potency is not afflicted, --5th Lord Me is combust in his own house and Rahu takes over that house afflicting the significations of 5th house including childbirth. This is the problem area --Jup is in neutral Mars in D7 --5th house lord Ven is afflicted by Ketu --Jup is in friendly house taken over by Sun...but not combust --Just finihsed an unfavorable Sun-Me period and folowed by an unafavorable Su-Ket period....finishing in Oct 2011 Thereafter the period are no bad for conception. --No problems with potency...just a bad period an d combusted 5th Lord. Pray to Buddha deva....chant Budha mantra "Om Bum Budhaye Namah| in cycles of 108 times as many times as poissble.
