PRANAB KUMAR MUKHOPADYAYA The date of birth of next Indian President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has been mentioned as 1st Feb 1935 at 17-52-20 @ Kolkata by some of our astro friends, whereas Wikipedia shows his date of birth as 11 Dec 1935 at Mirati, Burdwan, West Bengal, 23.2383N, 83.8608E. Of course the selection and election of Mr. P.K. Mukherjee is a foregone conclusion as even before announcing his name by the think-tank of Congress party led by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and her host of advisors like Ahmed Patel, P. Chidambaram, AK Antony, Manmohan Singh, etc. would have come to the conclusion that the requisite number is attained for a safe and secure win through the so-called electoral college for deciding the head of state of republic of India. The very post of President does not attach any importance, as he / she is a nominal head of the State. The chart as told by our astro friends is placed here below, assuming that anyone is interested in this chart. The democratic and parliamentary procedure is a politically whipped dictate is a mere stage show in India. The selection of a person to a high post in a large democratic country by the leader of a political party shows travesty and lack of transparency in the system. The ruler should be elected directly by the citizens of the country. BTW, between the two dates of births, I felt that 11 Dec 1935 looks more suitable for a person of that status such as President of India.

ROLE OF CUSPAL STAR LORD - ASCENDANT LIBRA In this issue as a seventh article on Cuspal Star Lord for Thula Lagna is taken up. DATE OF EMPLOYM ENT AND TRANSIT In the analysis of birth charts, we consider various types of bhava and planetary combinations to arrive at a decision on the request made by the native, when there is a particular interest according to the Birth Chart, if not a general reading on the birth chart will be made by the astrologer. In arriving at the target, first of all, we need to consider whether the native is destined to achieve the fulfilment of his expectation. If this is confirmed positive according to the birth chart, we continue further to determine the period of the happening. For timing of events according to the birth chart o r a horary chart, we consider the dasa and sub dasas periods in operation. According to Krishnamurthi Paddhathi, we consider the Vimsoththari dasa for the assessment of the tentative period. After making an assessment of the tentative period according to dasa, bukthi and antara , we consider the transit of dasa and sub dasa lords, significators and the luminaries to pinpoint the date and time of the event. According to infallible Krishnamurthi Paddhathi, the dasa and sub dasa lords along with the other planets will offer the results signified by the star lords of those in their dasa periods. The bhava significators will be the source to activate the matters indicated by the star lords. According to Krishnamurthi Paddhathi we consider sub lord of the tenth bhava as the main key on the consideration about employment. If the Sub lord of the tenth is a significator for the tenth bhava, showing the employment and the native’s position in the society, or the second bhava for gaining money and properties, or the sixth bhava showing the income to the native and loss to the employer and the eleventh bhava for the fulfilment of the expectation. Generally the ruling party has a strong say in the selection of the president and all knows that the electoral votes will mirror the same. Recent developments are telling another story. UPA decided Pranab Mukharjee to be their candidate but their allies Mulayam-Mamata are differing with it. They stood Abdul Kalam and Somnath Chatarjee to be their men. Other sources are pointing P.A.
