Our top priority and most important accomplishment is the continued success in providing high quality, reliable service and support to our students. Narrative and Pictorial Report of the Three-Day Three-Day In-Service Training on Information Technology (IT) Information Technology ( IT) is concerned with the development, management and use of computer-based information systems. !ven the teachers challenge themselves to learn more about new teaching strategies. Teachers need to use audio-visual presentations and introduce recorded lessons in their classes. %e are very fortunate because our school has been provided with enough tools to help teachers improve their teaching strategies. three-day three-day In-3ervice In-3ervice Information Information Te Technology Trainin Training g was held at #anaba #anaba !lementary 3chool last October *-9, 6. It was a remar"able day for the teachers for it was a fruitful one. Our school principal was not around because she attended a training in #inangonan !lementary 3chool on Three-2ay Training of Trainers (TOT) on !nglish 'roficiency and 'rocess 3"ills for 0rades and teachers last October * < 9, 6. The program started at =>66 $, with the registration of the participants. The seminar started with a short prayer, led by $rs. !den 7. orpus, followed by singing of the 4ational nthem. $rs. rlene . #orlas delivered a short message about the seminar. The first day training was all about $icrosoft %ord. The teachers were e&cited to learn. They were taught on how to operate the computer, e&ecute the commands of $3 %ord application, familiari?e on the $3 %ord 665 interface, manage files through opening, savin sav ing, g, clo closin sing g an and d pr print intin ing g the do docu cumen ment, t, na navig vigate ate th throu rough gh th the e doc docume ument nt us usin ing g buttons, menus and shortcut "eys, format te&t and paragraphs using the font, font si?e, font style alignment, highlight color and line spacing. The second day was all about $icrosoft 'ower'oint. Teachers Teachers were taught on how to open the $3 'ower'oint, insert picture and clipart, crop and trim pictures and changing its te&t wrappin wrapping g styles, insert a header and footer footer,, create effective presentations presentations using lessons in any learning areas, ma"e animations, insert sounds, pictures and various colors to the 'ower'oint 'resentation. The last day was was about $icrosoft $icrosoft !&cel. Te Teachers learned learned how to use the $3 !&cel. !&cel. They created a wide variety of highly customi?able charts and use the row-and-column layout to store lists efficiently. ;inally, they created a sample of class record which was very useable to the teachers. ttached are the pictures ta"en during the training. The 2epartment of !ducation really wor"s hard to train all teachers to be computer literate. The #anaba !lementary 3chool has doing its parts to educate the teachers to manipulate the computer. Our school finds ways to conduct activities with regards to computer literacy. In doing this all teachers would really be "nowledgeable in the operation or manipulation of computer. They also conducted a two () days seminar to all teachers in #anaba !lementary 3chool last ;eb. H , 6. The training aims to effectively use of technology in education, gain indepth "nowledge in technology, apply the acquired "nowledge and s"ills in creating designs to be used in school paper wor"s, instructional materials and profiles of students.
On the first day of training all teachers are very e&cited. The seminar started with prayer lead by !den 7. orpus. $aam !lvira . Tapel delivers her short reminders and messages about this seminar. rlene . #orlas introduce the instructor to the participants. $r. 7emer 8avines the instructor, introduce the hardware parts of the computer and the software. On the last day, he teaches us on how to operateCuse the computer in teaching. The success of this training would not be possible without the competent trainer who shared his "nowledge and s"ills in promoting the use of IT in education.
