<8ist of Cloaks< -ccuracy" %obe of $his garment is most often found in a dark dark shade of red and of a strange unkno#n material material #hich has a dim amount of magic energy if trying to be detected for such' $he #earer of the robe #ill instantly kno# that that the robe has potential #hen #hen putting it on" but may not kno# its e7act =uality' =uality' $he #earer ghts #ith a $>-C? as if he or she #as three higher le+els' -lignment Disguiser $his o:@#hite colored cloak #ill seem seem to be nonmagical in all aspects" besides a #eak #eak enchantment" but it #ill sometimes be mistaken to be in some other close obAect' !hile being #orn" the alignment and le+el of a character #ill be hidden from detection until the cloak is remo+ed'
-lignment $rickery" %obe of $his gray material robe seems to be nonmagical" but a high le+eled mage5cleric may detect a #eak aura of magic about it' $he alignment and le+el of the #earer" if tried to be detected by any means" #ill seem to be that of another alignment and le+el choosen randomly by the D.' -stral $ra+el" Cloak of $his cloak is e7tremely po#erful and made of completely black material' !hen a command #ord is thought or said aloud" the #earer goes under the true e:ects of the 0th le+el -stral mage spell' $here are only said to be a fe# +ersions of this cloak" so it is impossible to buy it on the open market' -ura Disguiser $his special cloak appear #ith bro#n to black material cannot be distinguished from any other type of special cloak" e+en through magical and psionic means it #ill seem as a simple cloak' $he cloaks other po#er allo#s the #earer to hide their aura (the aura is a mystical eld that surrounds all li+ing and undead beings and s#irls #ith many di:ering colors)' !earer #ill seem to ha+e a normal aura" sho#ing no signs of anger or e+il (or happiness or good if needed) and #ill allo# no special detection from the aura' $his cloak does not hide magical auras" ho#e+er' Berserk" Cloak of $he cloak of berserk is a black smooth material made cloak" #ith strangely no hood" but rather a fan rift around the collar' $he berserker symbol also is set in to the back of the cloak" usually in a blood red or dark blue coloration' !hen a ght #ears this cloak and ghts" they get the e7tra e:ects as if they also had the berserker kit' $his can be use #ithout the 4penalities4 of the berserker and #ith only the positi+e points' $his can be used #ith another kit" gi+ing e7tra e:ecti+eness' &f the berserker kit is in e:ect" the cloak #ill detect this and double the ghting bonuses gained' Black Claok $he blacklin cloak is a thin" long" cloak made of almost el+en@like material #hich appears Aet black' $his cloak has lo# magical radiation #hen trying to detect any" but it still e7ists' $his cloak ne+er gets dirty and li=uid simply slides o: of it" ne+er collecting or soaking in to the material' Blades" Cloak of $his special cloak designed for those bet#een 4 to 4 tall is usually made of a metallic colored material #hich is usually relati+ely light and easy to carry' !hen the hood is dra#n on this cloak" the magical properties are considered in play' -nyone entering the rear or rear ank positions #ho is at least +e () feet a#ay or closer is subAect to being hit by the cloak as it seems to o# in the #ind (e+en #ith no #ind to pick it)' $he cloak seems to sharpen up in certain peeks and form slicing #eapons as it hits targets in this area' -n attacking cloak has a $>-C? of /6 and can cause up to /d6 points of damage (/d damage selected randomly by D.)' &f the cloak su:ers more then E points of damage" the blade aspect of the cloak may be lost" ho#e+er the cloak4s material is as hard to cut as metal' (-C 6)' Blood Cloak (Cloak of $he Vampires) $his cloak is made of dark bro#n #ith striking patches of black material #hich is usual thick" but not so much as to be bulky' !hen #orn by a +ampire" day@#alking can be attempted in the middle of the morning and in the middle of the afternoon (#hen the least amounts of sun are sho#ing on the earth) #ith a 0F chance of sur+i+al e+ery t#enty minutes (this means roll a percentage die e+ery t#enty minutes the +ampire is #earing the cloak" and if 6F or lo#er is rolled" then the +ampire instantly dies)' $he cloak also can regenerate hit points to itself if damaged'
2urthermore" the +ampire #earing the cloak also needs to sustain strength more and #ill either drink blood" steal strength" or souls more then usual' Calling" Cloak of $he cloak of calling is al#ays made out of a material the same color as tree4s bark and is basically light to #ear' &t radiates a fair amount of enchantment" but sho#s no signs of alteration magic' Gnce per day" the #earer of the cloak may use one of the follo#ing spells at the le+el described belo#' Call !oodland Beings (as 6th le+el) ,SP (as Eth le+el" but only #ith animals) -nimal 2riendship (as 6th le+el) Crystalcloak $his special psionicist cloak has no hood and is made of leather' $he leather is nely made and has a layer or t#o of pure crysals lining its entire surface and sometimes inside the cloak intself' !hen #orn by anyone but a psionicist" it #ill sur+e no purpose' !ith the #earer being a ps" the cloak pro+ides a limited supply of PSPs that can also be used besides the psi4s normal PSPs' $hese t#o number should be kept seperate" to distinguish the t#o" but they are both attainable by the psionicist #ith one di:erent' !hen using PSPs from the cloak" the psi must spend double the amount to maintain the po#er and H PSPs to acti+ate it (po#ers #ith no #ay to maintain are simply doubled" like detonate #ould cost a at 16 from the cloak)' $he amount of PSPs a crystalcloak has depends on the color of the crystal put in to it" use the chart belo#' Color of Crystal Black Blue Blue" Dark Clear Clear" Sparkling 3ray" Dark 3ray" 8ight 3reen Grange Grange" 8ight Purple Purple" 8ight %ed %ed" Dark %ed" 8ight !hite !hite" G:

!hen not on a li+ing creature the cloak #ill seem normal in e+ery aspect" and #ill sho# no magical radiation if detection for such is in use' Gnce put on" the image of the #earer #ill be in+isible and #ill not be able to be detected' !here e+eryone #ill see the #earer is t#o feet in front or behind the actual #earers position as the #earer #ishes' &f anything is detected for or other#ise searched for" it #ill be detected to point at the image" and not at the actual position' 2or instance" if infra+ision is used" the image #ill seem to be seen" but not the actual #earer' &f magic is trying to be detect or intelligence is detected for" then the image #ill seem to carry the properties" and not the actual caster' &n combat melee attacks get a @6 against the #earer and missile attacks get a at @I to Jto hitJ rolls' Damage is ne+er penalied" until a slashing #eapon is used #hen a @/ penality is gained' Sa+ing $hro#s done #ithin the same battle get a H to the rst fe# made by the #earer" but are only made #ith a HI bonus after#ards' Distortion" Cloak of $he cloak of distortion is a black" nely made cloak #hich is about si7 feet long and seems nonmagical" e+en #hen detected for such' Gnce #orn" its e:ects become ob+ious as the image of the #earer becomes a blob of hae and seems to be mo+ing back and forth from the actual stance of the #earer" e7tremely =uick' -ttacks on the #earer are al#ays made #ith a @I penality from melee attacking #eapons" and a @1 from missile attacks' 2urthermore" piercing #eapons recie+e a @/ to damage (/ being the minimum for damage)' - HI bonus to Sa+ing $hro#s is also gained for the rst one or t#o Sa+ing $hro#s done by an attacking creature' -fter #hich time (the third attack and after that re=uire Sa+ing $hro# checks caused by the same creature) Sa+ing $hro#s only get a H/ bonus' $his is due to the same creature being able to focus more on their +ictim (being the one #earing the cloak of distortion)' Gften (E?F of) cloaks of distortion are made for creatures 4 to 64 tall (humans" el+es" etc) and the other rare portion (I?F of) cloaks of distortion are made for creatures less then 4 tall (d#ar+es" gnomes" halings" etc')' $he cloak also makes its #earer particularly sensiti+e to light" but it takes e7treme light #hich is more diectly focused then sunlight' Dragon >ide" Cloak of $his nonmagic cloak is made purely of nely crafter dragon scales" #hich has been #orked in such a #ay to make it almost feel smoot h' $he cloak has a personal -C of ? and can protect against attacks from the back and the back ank positions' &t is +ery durable and is sometimes easily gotten (at a high price)' &t is light" but not light enough to be considered #eightless' !hen not being #orn" the cloak re=uires special attention" it must be kept clean and unfolded" or its protecti+e +alue goes do#n from being bent to much' ,nsla+ing Cloak $his cloak made of a +ariety of material is enchanted by a #iard #ho assumes control o+er the cloak and #hoe+er its #earer may be' $he cloak radiates +ery little magical energy" but #ill (6?F of the time) sho# a link bet#een itself and the #earer if detection for magic is in use' !hate+er the creator #ishes #ill be done by the #earer" to a certain degree' $he #earer has control o+er speech and has his5her o#n moral to deal #ith (so" if asked to leap o: of a cli:" the #earer #ouldn4t do so)' Depending on the tasks gi+en" an ensla+ed #earer may ha+e feel hatred for the one #ho ensla+ed them' (Determined by D.) ,7istance Disguiser $his particular cloak #ill seemingly ha+e no magical properties" e+en #hen #orn it #ill seem like a simple cloak and nothing more' !hen others try and di+ine anything about the cloak or #earer" nothing #ill be detected #hatsoe+er' Besides basic sight properties and hearing properties #ill be une:ected' (>ence" others can see or hear the #earer" but if detect magic is done on a mage #earer" nothing #ill be detected" or a #earer #ith e+il intent maybe seen" but not detected b y the high le+el paladin'
,yes of $he Beholder (Cloak of Beholder ,yes) $he cloak of beholder eyes appears normal #hen not being #orn" but once put on its po#er is automatically detected by the #earer (if intelligence is belo# //" roll an intelligence check" failure means the being doesn4t realie the cloak to be magical)' $he dark red to faded out black radiates a nice amount of magical properties in the school of enchantment" but its alteration status is hard to detect at all' !hene+er the #earer says or thinks a #ord" #hich he is allo#ed to do once a day" an eye stalk appears to come out of the cloaks material are cast a spell at any one target the #earer selects' !iards #ill understand this the best" #hile other classes of characters may ha+e a problem #orking this po#er of the cloak' Kou must select target" then randomly roll on the behold eye table belo#" but to get full descriptions of the spells" look at the Beholder entry in the .onstrous .anual' %oll (d/?) / I 1 6 E 0 /?

!hene+er lightning is #ithin I? feet of the cloak" the cloak #ill absorb the lightning" causing no harm to the #earer himself' -ny lightning used directly at the #earer is partially absorbed and does a mere /5I its normal damage" allo#ing for normal attack rolls and sa+ing thro#s' 8ightning -ttraction" Cloak of $his normal looking cloak has a metallic look to the cloth used in making it" and #ill appear highly magical if detection for magic is being used' $he garment4s actual material feels light and soft to the touch' !hen e+er lightning is #ithin ? feet of the cloak" it #ill be instantly attracted to the cloak and in return damage the #earer' Double the amount of damage the lightning #ould ha+e done is taken in to the #earer and #ill most likely be released in to the ground on #hich he or she stands' No sa+ing thro#s or -C checks are allo#ed for this damage" but a strength check may in allo#ed to decrease the damage by / per die (minimum of / damage per die rolled)' 8ight Deection" Cloak of - cloak that resembles the cloak of lightning absorption in e+ery phsysical fashion" is often mistake for its close cousin' $he #earer of this garment #ill instantly kno# it has some magical ability" and once lightning is used against the #earer" it #ill become +ery ob+ious #hat the po#er is' !ithout sa+ing thro# or attack rolls" all lightning e:ects #ill be collected in to the cloak and deected to the ne7t closes being to the caster" e+en back at the one trying to harm the #earer if closer then others' 2ull damage is taken to the one #ho is struck" but D.s should allo# for a sa+ing thro# #ith a @6 penality for half damage' 8inked Pain" %obe of $he robe of linked pain #ill appear to be another type of robe if trying to detect for magic" but looks +ery much like a normal robe' $he garment is usually a bro#n to black material" and rarely if considered light robe' $hese robes come in pairs" and are directly linked to each other' &f a true seeing spell is uses" a small" thin" gold cord of pure magic #ill be seen going straight from one robe to the other (since this cord is magical" it can pass through anything as it goes straight to the other robe of its kind' !hile being #orn" #hen one of the t#o #earers is hit" the other #ill feel pain e=ual in amount" but #ithout the loss of actual >it Points and creation of #ounds' &f an e7tensi+e #ound is caused to one of the t#o #earers" like the loss of an actual limb" then the other #earer must roll a system shock roll or ha+e no feeling in the same limb for /d days' &f one of the t#o #earers dies" the other must roll a system shock check or instantly g o in to a coma for IdHI days (or passing the system shock means slight unconsciousness for only /dI hours)' Gnce put on" the robe cannot be taken o: until the death or destruction of one of the #earers" #hich #ill certainly put the other #earer in great danger' 8eaping" Cloak of $his cloack appears as a normal black material cloak #ith a shark" thick hood' &t radiates a dim amount of magic in its aura if detected for such" but once the caster #ishs to Aump" they #ill gure out the true purpose of this cloak' !hen Aumping" the #earer can leap up to t#o times their le+el in the direction they are facing or half the amount of le+el in feet in any front ank position' $he height of the leap is e=ual to the distance' So" space is need for further reaching leaps' &f the #earer #ishes" they can Aump straight up" Aumping up double their le+els in feet" but #ill mo+e for#ard / to 6 feet (D. determines)' .orphusis (Cloak of .orphing) $he cloak of morphing" or as it is most commonly called the morphusis" comes in a +ariety of styles" colors" and materials" but al#ays has a I inch high symbol some#here on it' !hat e7actly the #earer of the cloak can morph in to depends upon the symbol" but is al#ays an animal or some sort" no larger then class 8 of the .onstrous .anual system'
