Preliminary note
I compiled this bibliography in preparation for my course Sources and Contexts for Christianity in Central Asia up to the Thirteenth Century, offered at the University
of Notre Dame, department of theology, Spring semester. The bibliography is meant to be thorough, but it is certainly not comprehensive. In addition, there is probably some inconsistency, and bibliographic details are missing in some
places, but there is plenty to identi here to identi each source. A er a brief listing of some electronic resources, it is divided into the following categories: general, theoretical considerations, languages and scripts, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Manichaeism, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, but of course some items fit into more than one of these sections. I welcome recommendations for additions (or corrections) sent to the email address above.
