WÄRTSILÄ GAS RECOVERY SYSTEMS
Wärtsilä Gas Recovery Systems (GRS) is an Business unit within Wärtsilä Oil & Gas Systems. Our business idea is to:
Develop and s upply s ys tems reducing emis s ions to air from oil, g as and petrochemical ins tallations .

An increase of 10% in crude production
• Based on a study from our Italian partner alberto •

A recovery of 1.8 mmscfd of LLP gas
poloni s rl there are about 90 platforms eligible for EOR using gas-lift technology and that could benefit from LLP gas recovery (similar to Temana B) in East Malaysia. The gas is mostly vented and very often not even flared Increase in oil production can represent 20% increase. The gas that could be recovered from Temana field alone is about 50 MMSCFD.

THE MICROGAZ SOLUTION 1.
In activated Carbon, methane becomes a “Virtual Liquid” at low pressures and ambient temperatures1
2.
Result: 3 to 8x more gas per tank 2 Ambient
Temperatures Enable => Lower-cost Storage
Activated Carbon
Supercritical Absorption
1. Van der Waals forces in nano-porous micro-lattice structure of activated carbon, force methane into a dense fluid (“supercritical adsorption”) due to inter -molecular forced pairing of CH4 molecules in 0.6 - 6nm fractal nano-pores. 2. 3x to 8x more gas vs. standard CNG tanks, at the same pressure, up to 35 barg ≃
THE MICROGAZ SOLUTION 1.
Storage Tanks = safe, durable, any shape, any size 1
2.
Storage Capacity = 120 to 180 v/v2 Tank Safety, Stability Flexibility & Durability Enabling => Lower Regulatory & Insurance Cost, Low OPEX & expected 10 yr. amortization 2-burner; 2 cf (example) 1 burner; 1 cf (example) 1. EXAMPLE: Basic Tank = 1 cf x 150 v/v = 150 scf - up to 35 bar (500 psi) 2. depending on carbon quality, pressure, cost & performance trade-offs, ambient temperature, etc.
