Fit is a personal preerence, but as a general rule I recommend women select the low rise and size down i you want a slimmer fit (they will still be roomy enough to be comortable). Selecting Your Size Te pajama pants pants are a loose fit pattern with relaxed relaxed hips. Sizing is based at ullest hip point. I between sizes, I recommend going UP one size i you’re making this pattern or a man and down one size i you’re making this pattern or a woman. Rise Tis pattern offers a regular and low rise ront waist. Tis is personal preerence but or guidance, I recommend the regular rise or men and the low rise or women. Slimmer Fit I you preer a slimmer fit, go down one size. I recommend this option or women. Blending Sizes Tis pattern is broken into layers or individual sizes. You may select multiple layers or blending sizes. See Selecting Layers or Layers or inormation on choosing individual layers.

Hip measurement - Wrap the tape measure around ullest part o the hips. Pull tape SNUGLY. Outseam - Measure at waist (or where you intend to wear your pants) to where you want the pants to end. Te outseam measurement in the size chart already takes into account waistband and hem.

Preparing the Pattern File Layers 1.) Tere is an 8.5”x11” version, an A4 version and an A0 version included in the download. Please only use the A4 version i you own an A4 printer and paper. 2.) Use the latest version o Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and print your pattern pieces. 3.) Tis pattern has individual sizes in layers in the PDF file. Click on the icon on the lef side that looks like this. Te layers will then show in the Layers flyout menu. Tis is what the Layers menu will look like on your screen. Tere will be “eyes” “eyes” in the boxes to correspond to the layers that are visible. For example, i you are making the size M, click on the Layers symbol on the lef side, and then make sure the “eye” “eye” is checked next to the label “M” and Background. Check the pattern pieces beore you print to make sure you have the right layer. Tere is a key in the upper lef o page 1 o the pattern showing what size each color/dash pattern represents.

Assembling the Pattern Tis is a no trim pattern! Afer printing printing the multi-page pattern, overlap the pages, lining the edge o one page up with the outside o the gray line (as shown in the picture). Pages 1-6 will be on the first row, row, pages 7-12 will be on the second row, etc. Te gray lines should still be visible. Cut along the lines or your size, or trace your pattern size onto tracing paper, reezer paper, etc.

How to Shorten/Lengthen For the capris and pants lengths options, it is important to measure and adjust or length prior to cutting your abric. You can find the finished lengths in the Finished Measurements chart. chart. Te lengths are or a outseam, rom waist to hem. For the example, I will use an adjustment o 2” on the Back. You will need to repeat this process on on the ront leg as well. Cut your pattern pieces at the “Lengthen or Shorten Here” marker

Lengthen o lengthen, spread the two pieces apart by the difference in length, in this case, 2”. Place extra paper between the two pattern pieces and continue the lines so they cover the extra inches, also redrawing the lines as needed.

Legs If you cut your leg as one piece, go to the inseam inseam.. If you are making a two piece leg without without pockets, go to step 2.
1. Place straight edge o pocket RIGH SIDES OGEHER with Back Leg, lining up pocket markings on pocket piece and leg pattern piece. Sew pockets to pants using a straight stitch (Fig. 1a). Neaten seam with an overlock overlock stitch. Open pocket outward and press seam toward pockets (Fig. 1b). Repeat with other Back Leg and both Front Legs.

Sew elastic to the waistband using a stretch stitch, zigzag or serger, stretching elastic to match waistband (Fig. 9). I necessary, neaten seam with an overlock stitch. ip - i you are serging and are araid o cutting the elastic, you can turn the blade off.
