Alambres de aluminio 1350-H19 cableados concéntricamente, alrededor de un núcleo de acero recubierto con zinc. El recubrimiento de zinc del núcleo normalmente es clase A (ACSR/GA), disponible también en clase B (ACSR/GB) y clase C (ACSR/GC). El núcleo puede ser un alambre de acero o un torón, conformado por 7 ó 19 alambres cableados en forma concéntrica. Usos y Aplicaciones
Los conductores eléctricos ACSR se usan en líneas aéreas de transmisión y distribución de energía eléctrica. Los cables ACSR presentan muy buena carga de rotura, característica especialmente útil para diseño de líneas aéreas. Con diferentes cableados de núcleo de acero se pueden obtener diferentes cargas de rotura, sin sacrificar sa crificar la capacidad de conducción de corriente. También son utilizados como neutro portante para cables de distribución tipo Múltiplex con fases de aluminio aisladas, cableadas alrededor del neutro en ACSR. 25
