Working on “cementing” the number bonds to 10
Note: Parents, many children still do not know these bonds to automaticity. PLEASE work on the games/activities I sent home in the Homelearning packet! They need to know this before first grade!
HOMEWORK:
Practice sight words to automaticity (like “popcorn popping”)
Work on the number bonds to 10 (all the ways to make each number such as 10 = 10 and 0; 9 and 1; 8 and 2; 7 and 3; 6 and 4; 5 and 5; and all the inverses of those)
Work on making handwriting neat—using the lines, even spacing, correct formation of letters; write first and last name on all papers; write numbers to 20 in order and formed correctly
