OCSAT opened its first School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) session on June 30, 2017. To facilitate the many needs of training our teachers need to be enhances, this year's SLAC is divided into three highlighting on: Facilitative Learning, Revisiting DLL/DLP Making and Using Apps to Integrate Music Teaching. Team SLAC C consisting of all MAPEH Teachers was assigned on the conduct on using apps to integrate music teaching with the theme: The Use of PC Music Notation Software as Aid for Music Instruction. The session opened with the topic of Sir Ket Ian Cotales on the Introduction to Music Apps, PC Notation Software. He emphasized the importance of technology on the integration of Music Teaching. The use of apps have been an essential tool already to teach music in the classroom. Afterwhich, Sir Rotello Boligor II continued the session on the workshop on Basic Computer Encoding of Music Notation and MIDI/Audio conversion to MP3. The teachers were exposed to the steps in encoding music sheets online and was able to play simple pieces without even a background in music; just technology and perseverance to learn. After the music workshop, Sir Assadik Ditual Jr opened another session which is on Dance. From his lecture, the participants were introduced on the basic dance step of folk dance. The participants were also able to perform simple folk dance steps which is a product of their desire to learn the art. The day ended with a lot of learning which our participants will bring to their respective classrooms. Prepared by: KET IAN C. COTALES
