Introducción ¿Por qué un cuadernillo fotocopiable? Este material ha sido pensado para acompañar la serie Yes! e intenta ser un aporte con dos objetivos básicos: • Complementar el enfoque didáctico de Yes! en el sentido de avanzar hacia la precisión de la expresión, focalizando en la forma, pero sin perder de vista el significado en contexto. Serán los docentes los que determinen si sus alumnos necesitan más ejercitación formal de los aspectos de la lengua que la ofrecida en los libros. • Responder al pedido que hicieron algunos colegas que concurrieron a los talleres de capacitación. Creemos que este cuadernillo representa una contribución al escaso tiempo que tienen las/los docentes para producir su propio material.

Cada una de las actividades viene acompañada de un cuadro en el que se indica a partir de qué momento se propone el uso de la actividad en cuestión. Es importante, sin embargo, tener en cuenta que esto podrá ser modificado por el docente según su criterio personal o las necesidades del grupo considerando el vocabulario conocido por los alumnos. Nota: Si los alumnos están haciendo Yes! 2 sin haber hecho Yes! 1, serán los docentes los que deberán verificar si los alumnos conocen el vocabulario que el ejercicio incluye.

De las actividades
Como ya dijimos, el acento está puesto es aspectos más relacionados con la forma, pero sosteniendo siempre al máximo posible la contextualización significativa tanto situacional como temática con el objetivo de que todas las actividades tengan un sentido y así evitar que se convierta en un mero ejercicio mecánico. Recordemos que la ejercitación reiterada, siempre y cuando se dé en contextos significativos, contribuye a la adquisición de los aspectos formales de las lenguas y es precisamente éste el aporte que intenta brindar este material. Importante: No se debe reemplazar el trabajo con el libro por este material, sino que puede acompañarlo en la medida de la posibilidad y de la necesidad de afianzamiento que presenten los alumnos.
Las actividades son breves y fotocopiables y, en muchos casos, de sencilla reproducción en el pizarrón. Esto permite asignarlos individualmente o por grupos atendiendo a las diferentes necesidades. Una mención especial merece la sección de Spelling. Ésta fue pensada principalmente para ser trabajada con Yes! 1, aunque también se la pueda utilizar con los niveles posteriores. En esta sección el trabajo está basado, en la mayoría de las actividades, en la relación existente entre la forma de las palabras y su pronunciación. La reflexión sobre esta relación, que podría ser realizada por los alumnos por su cuenta, se verá enriquecida por la reflexión en grupos y conjunta con el docente. Esto brindará al alumno mayor confianza e independencia al momento de la producción escrita y oral. Por otra parte, podría contribuir a fortalecer las relaciones tanto de similitud como de diferencia entre la lengua materna y el inglés. Por último, la inclusión de las ilustraciones de contextualización, muchas con los personajes conocidos por los alumnos, tiene por objetivo conectar de algún modo esta ejercitación con el material de uso diario en el aula.

De la organización El presente cuadernillo ha sido desarrollado teniendo en cuenta los aspectos sintácticos y morfológicos más importantes trabajados a lo largo de los 3 niveles de Yes!. Si bien no se trabajaron todos los aspectos tratados en la serie, se ha tenido en cuenta a aquellos que, a nuestro criterio, podían necesitar mayor ejercitación que la dada en los libros, así como aquellos para los que nunca está de más toda ejercitación que se proponga (ej. present simple). La mayoría de las actividades fueron pensadas para los niveles 2 y 3, aunque también encontrarán algunas actividades para

De las notas al pie La mayoría de las pequeñas notas a pie de página destinadas a los docentes tienen como objetivo recordarnos que no hay una sola respuesta (contenido) o una sola manera de responder (forma). Así, el material intenta atender a la diversidad presente en las aulas.
