1.In Bible Prophecy what does a day often equate to? Numbers 14:34 “After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each ___ for a ____, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty f orty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.” Ezekiel 4:6 “And when thou hast accomplished accomplis hed them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each ___ for a ___ __.” Psalm 77:5 “I have considered considered the _____ _____ of old, the ______ of of ancient times.” NOTE: Based on the context, days in prophecy equal literal years. 2.How is the year 1844 relevant? Daniel 8:13-14 “Then I heard one saint speaking, speaking, and another another 1
saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice , and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be _______ ____.” NOTE: From From Daniel 8:14 we come come to the year 1844. (See Study Guide #1) 3.How does Daniel Chapter Nine relate to the prophecy found in Daniel 8:14? Daniel 9:24 “_________ ______ are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy prophecy,, and to anoint the most Holy.” Holy.” NOTE: The starting point of the prophecy here in Daniel 9:24, and the starting point of Daniel 8:14 are the same, (See Study Guide #1) The prophecy of Daniel 8:14 is the larger prophecy prophecy of which the Seventy weeks of Daniel 9:24, is contained therein. The starting point is 457 BC, when the decree went forth to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem (See Daniel 9:25) 4.How do Jewish Rabbi’s look upon the Prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27? “May the bones of the hands and the bones of the fingers decay and decompose of him who turns tur ns the pages of the book of Daniel, to find out the time of Daniel 9:24-27, and may his memory rot from off the face of the earth forever” (Talmudic Law,, p.978, Section 2, Line 28) Law NOTE: Evidently, this prophecy bothers those who are fervent in their Jewish devoition. Why would the Talmud Talmud attack with 2
such anger a part of the Old Testament? Is there something something there that they are trying to hide? 5.We know that there was a Sanctuary on earth in times past, is there any significance to the Sanctuary today? Hebrews 8:1-2 8:1-2 “We have such a high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the ________, and of the ____ ____________, which the Lord Lord pitched and not man.” NOTE: There can be no doubt that the Bible speaks of a sanctuaryy in heaven. The Bible says that Jesus presides as sanctuar the High Priest of this sanctuary, and that it is the original or true tabernacle, the plans for the copy were give to Moses to help teach the Israelites the gospel message way back in Old Testament times. Now this doctrine of the heavenly sanctuar y, where Christ is officiating as High Priest, is a doctrine which is heavily under attack in the world. Why? Because it sets Jesus Christ back into the center as the only Savior in the world and it also tells us about His ministry and where He is officiating, in the Holy or the Most Holy. This is very important. Because according to Seventh-Day Adventist doctrine, 1844, the time of Judgment must be Yon Kippur, he must have gone into the Most Holy. Now if that is so, then the Seventh-Day Adventist Church has a peculiar message to the world. One explaining the Sanctuary Sanctuar y number one, the ministry of Jesus, the judgment hour, but it also makes them the Herald of the final message. That’s a problem. You can’t have one denomination being a herald of a final message. You You have to take that denomination away and make it part of the pot of ecumenism. Nobody has the right to say “we have a final message for the world”. That would be “exclusivity” “exclusivity ” in the thinking of the world. So 1844 is heavily under attack and the doctrine that Jesus Christ entered the Most Holy in 1844, “then shall the sanctuary be cleansed” anti-typical day of atonement, is also heavily under attack.

6.What other movements began around the year 1844? ANSWER: Interesting events around 1844. Karl Marx joined “the league of the Just” in 1842 (later “league of Communists”). He started writing the “Communist Manifesto” in 1844, what does that say? It says, “there is no God,” let alone Jesus Christ, let’s get rid of him. So Jesus Christ is removed. At the same time another message goes into the world. Darwin, the origin of species, “the origin of species-that mystery of mysteries,” when did he start writing it? This is the for ward to the origin of species, and you will find something interesting, “I allowed myself to speculate on the subject, and drew up some short notes; these I enlarged in 1844,” this is very interesting, the second time we find 1844 in a very prominent place where we have an end time lying delusion going into the world. And there’s a little group that says no. There are many others as well, well, but they don’t have the fullness of the three angel’s message nor do they have the sanctuary message. Isn’t it interesting that the greatest representation at the United Nations, the Baha’i faith, was found when? By the Bah, there’s the date, 1844. The Bahai faith was founded in 1844 by Baha’ u ‘llah (a faith founded by the Bab, meaning gate).” So 1844, we finally get to a point where the world is ready for a movement which will say, “All churches unite.” Who’s behind this movement, that’s another story. I think we figured that out by now, because, who has the power in the United Nations, they or Roman Catholicism? Roman Catholicism has the power, power, so this is just a tool. But 1844 is an interesting faith. The Baha’i faith upholds the fundamental unity of all religions, that’s their first criterion. Independent investigation investigation of truth, etc. and all these interesting things, we’ve dealt with some of these already. Attainment of world peace. 7.What are some bedrock principles upon which the Bahai faith are placed? Dan Wheatley writes: “As a baha’i I see myself as a world 4
citizen and I strongly believe that the world is moving closer to a united global community, a human family… ‘Unity in diversity may sound like just another sound-bite, a trite piece of verbal cosmetics in an age where content is less important than presentation. Now Now,, the Seventh-day Adventist church also has the message, “do not accept the mark of the beast!” “Sabbath is the day of the Lord, worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water.” Papacy comes and says, “no, you must listen to me, I’ll tell you when to worship, you’ll worship on the first day of the week because I am the authority in your life.” 10.How does the encyclical ‘Dies Domini’ relate to the observance of Sunday? And so the papacy on May 7, 1998 issued this famous apostolic letter Dies Domini of the holy father John Paul where he asks for Sunday legislation. Sunday: the Primordial Feast, Revealing the Meaning of Time. Yet they not only reject the observance of the Sabbath enjoined in the written word, but they have adopted and do practice the observance of Sunday, for which they have only the tradition of the Church. Consequently the claim of ‘Scripture alone as the standard,’ fails; and the doctrine of ‘Scripture and tradition’ as essential, is fully established, the Protestants themselves being judges. this was the inconsistency of the Protestant practice with the Protestant profession that gave to the Catholic Church her long-sought and anxiously desired ground upon which to condemn Protestantism and the whole Reformation movement as only a selfishly ambitious rebellion against the Church authority. And this is today the position of the respective parties to this controversy. Today, as this document shows, this is the vital issue upon which the Catholic Church arraigns Protestantism, and upon which she condemns the course of popular Protestantism as being “indefensible”, self-contradictory, self-contradictory, and suicidal.” What will these Protestants, what will this Protestantism, do?” Now let’s see what the editor of Mary online made with this letter,, December 2003, and take note: “The challenge issued by letter Rome over 100 years ago remains: Either the Catholic Church is right, or the Seventh Day Adventists are right. There can be no other choice.” NOTE: This is a true statement. There is no other choice between tradition and truth. 13.What does the New Age World say about the uniting of World Religions? New Ager, Natalie Banks, states: “Looking below the seething 8
surface of outer events we become aware of the spreading move towards the elimination of the sectarian separativeness and an increasing distaste for reliance on hard and fast doctrine and dogma. At the same time there is an intensified search for a deeper understanding of the inner teachings and their application to the enormous problems of today.” today.” NOTE: So what are they looking for? Get rid of those doctrines which separate. Can you see how the Sabbath is becoming a mighty issue? How we will have to stand for truth and righteousness, and Jesus Christ is to be just scrapped in the shredder. This is a total onslaught on Jesus Christ through his people. Thomas Ehrenzeller, a director of the World Federalists, asserts: “A growing number of people… are sponsoring a backlash against the wave of religious fundamental fanaticism… The right course to take is that which will lead to a new world of unity and world law.” Alice A. Bailey said the same, “The day is dawning when all religions will be regarded as emanating from one great spiritual source… They will accept the same truths, not as theological concepts but as essential to spiritual living… of brotherhood and of human relations; Thus the expressed aims and efforts of the United Nations will be eventually brought to fruition and a new church of God, gathered out of all religions and spiritual groups, will unitedly bring to an end the great heresy of separateness. Love, unity, and the Risen Christ will be present, and He will demonstrate to us the perfect life… the enlightened people… will not tolerate authoritarianism in any church or totalitarianism in any political system; they WILL NOT ACCEPT or PERMIT the rule of any body body of men who undertake to tell them what they must believe in order to be saved…” NOTE: Here separation is deemed a terrible thing, but God calls His people to separate from Babylon. 9
14.According to the Bible, through what person are we to come to God? Acts 4:12 “Neither is is there salvation in _____ other: other: for there is _____ other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” NOTE: Jesus Christ is the only one who brings salvation. Not humanism, not salvation by works, not philanthropy, only Christ. Religions must actively cooperate to bring to unprecedented heights a better understanding of the mysteries of life and of our place in the universe. ‘My religion, right or wrong,’ and ‘My nation, right or wrong’ must be abandoned forever in the planetary age.” Bailey’s booklet advises: “There must be NO… distress over the DISAPPEARANCE of the old order.” Ok, “‘The good, the true and the beautiful’ is on its way, and for it MANKIND IS RESPONSIBLE, and not some outer divine intervention.” Alice A.
