about experiment of Synthesis of pentaaminechlorocobalt (III) chloride,Full description
The synthesis of potassium tris(oxalato)ferrate (III) via the addition of oxalic acid and potassium hydroxide to iron (III) chloride hexahydrate under gentle heatingFull description
PROCEDURE 1. In a fume hood, 5 g of ammonium chloride was added to 30 mL concentrated aqueous ammonia in a 250 mL Erlenmeyer flask. 2. The ammonia chloride solution was stirred vigorously using a magnetic stirring plate while adding 10 g finely divided CoCl2.6H2O in a small portions. 3. 8 mL 30% hydrogen peroxide was added to the brown Co slurry. 4. Add 30 ml concentrated HCl with continuous stirring and was poured about 1 – 2 mL at time. 5. The solution was heated to 60°C with occasional stirring. The temperature was holdC for 15 minutes between 55°C and 65°. 6. 25 mL distilled water was added and the solution was allowed to cool to room temperature. 7. The purple product was collected by filtrations through Buchner funnel and was washed with 7.5 ml cold distilled water and twice with 7.5 ml ice-cold ethanol 8. The product was transferred to a crystallizing dish and loosely covered with aluminium foil and allowed it to dry.
